what I never understood to begin with is why a conservator even needs their own team of lawyers? like, this isn't a criminal trial, or why does a conservator need to defend their cause so badly?

If a person is so ill that needs to be conserved, I think it would be something very obvious, irrefutable, like no one would have an ounce of doubt that the person needs a conservatorship. If a conservator or someone trying to conserve another person needs such a legion of lawyers to prove their point, isn't that in itself a huge hint that more likely than not, the conservatorship isn't needed?

I'll never understand how people let this conservatorship thing be approved in the court system. Like, even if they come up with their "receipts" that they're managing the finances "correctly", so what, what the conservator should constantly do instead is to prove that the conservatee still needs the conservatorship, not whether or not they're doing the accounting properly.

i must repeat i dont agree with any of this, and i do agree with lynne about the fees but i LOVE that someone called her out; hopefully she'll be more invested from now on. 

i am among the most active supporters of the free britney movement and have made noise where it matters (sending a LOT of correspondence to congress an to California senate as instructed by Lisa as well as creating many threads with instructions on how to participate and have bullied everyone i know into watching the NYT documentary so dont give me any team con BS.)

but i am living for this. omg i love that she got told so directly. I AM LIVING FOR IT - as a lot of people cannot handle the truth and pretend lynne is a saint - yes she might be trying to help but girl TRUTH hit you in the face really hard today by the hands of vivian.

Omg, I need to start out by saying VIVIAN IS THE WORST. Most attorneys don't act like this, and very rarely do I have a Vivian as opposing counsel. When I do though, it's pretty clear that the other side is just scared and throwing stuff against the wall and hoping it sticks. Unfortunately, some judges are too lazy to give a well-thought out opinion so they just placate the side making the most noise, even if their stance is not supported by legal precedent. This is what Vivian is hoping to accomplish and sadly it could work. There's a reason Vivian filed this as a "preliminary response". That basically means she can't be bothered to draft a response that is supported by facts or evidence already in the record, but is merely making conclusory allegations in order to get something filed on time. She probably dictated it and had a paralegal type it up rather than actually cite to documents that could support her claims. 

It's a pretty transparent red herring for Vivian to say Lynne exploited her daughter's pain and trauma by publishing a book OVER TWELVE YEARS AGO (which was conveniently omitted), yet glosses over Vivian's interview with GMA that she gave the first business day after the NEW YORK EFFING TIMES aired a damning expose. Vivian was completely unprepared for the interview, and recited talking points without actually answering the anchor's questions, and nothing gets a judge more angry than when an attorney talks just to talk because they can't come up with a substantive response to the question asked. 

For Vivian to claim that the parties involved in the litigation have not challenged her fee request should not hold water. It is completely irrelevant whether the parties have challenged a fee request before, especially here where the conservatee is paying the fees for every party involved, even when they may be going against her best interests. If Vivian's fees were reasonable, she should be able to give a full accounting to the court about what work her firm has specifically done and why it reaches a level that such an extraordinary fee is requested from the conservatee who is fighting to remove the conservator who is charging these ridiculous fees to oppose what Britney and her attorney are requesting. 

I literally don't know how attorneys like Vivian go home at the end of the day and act like they're just doing their job so they should be blameless. It's one thing to zealously represent your client, but it's a whole different issue to abuse the legal process for a paycheck. Most attorneys truly want to help their clients while remaining within the bounds of the law and lawyers like her are nothing but a stain on the practice. She should be ashamed of herself.

Have you proof she isn't paying Lynne?

Because there is solid proof that she IS paying for Lynne's lawyers. Britney gives Lynne $2,000 a month and pays all of her household expenses. She also pays for her airfare as we've seen. Lynne doesn't have an income. I guarantee these links will eventually get removed, as a lot of websites referencing the money to Lynne have recently disappeared.

It was funny seeing Vivian drag Lynne because she’s absolutely right. That aside, Vivian just showed her true colors and has gone too far. She’s talking as if Lynne was a nobody, when she’s her mother. She’s also assuming she’s only getting involved as a personal vendetta against Jamie and that’s some serious ****. Jamie’s side keeps relying on character assassination, you can tell they’re putting it all in to hold on to the power they have. Either they’re very clever and know their way around laws or the judge is incredibly corrupt, I can’t tell anymore. On the other hand, the people who are supposed to care about Britney are not doing enough now and for sure, neither did they in the past. Lynne should make the money she’s spending worth it once and for all. She’s our only hope other than the good will of fans and advocates for justice 

Quite interesting that now it’s official Lynne and Lufti keep in touch, so Lufti didn’t lie on this... He’ll keep being an important character in this story because they’ll keep bringing up the **** out of him.

Honestly, if Lynne doesn’t file for termination in the next few months, it wouldn’t be a reach to assume she wants to take Jamie’s place. We know the family has always been so grateful to the justice system for allowing the impossible (a woman in her twenties totally able to live life on her own terms under the most restrictive system a person can be under) happen.
