BREAKING: Britney and Jamie Spears reach a settlement in conservatorship case

Britney has settled her conservatorship case with her estranged father, Jamie Spears. Although she can finally put this behind her, Britney will reportedly foot Jamie's legal bills to the tune of $2 million, Daily Mail reports. 

Britney's lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, said in a statement to Page Six: “It has been our honor and privilege to represent, protect and defend Britney Spears. Ms. Spears is and always will be an icon and a brilliant and brave artist of historic and epic proportion,” he said.

"Although the conservatorship was terminated in November 2021, her wish for freedom is now truly complete. As she desired, her freedom now includes that she will no longer need to attend or be involved with court or entangled with legal proceedings in this matter.”

He continued: “Britney Spears won when the court suspended her father, and Britney Spears won when her fundamental rights and civil liberties were restored."

Tbh the legal system is so messed up. The fact no one’s been arrested or charged at this point says that the case has gone nowhere. Sadly she’ll never get justice and I think she realizes that now.

Courts never wanted this to go to trial anyway, cause it would unearth a lot of skeletons on their side.

We have always known deep down that Britney will never get justice of any kind. Because those who allowed all this abuse, trafficking and theft of hundreds of millions are the state, judges, doctors, lawyers, hospitals, Kardashian family, etc, etc, etc., the corruption is brutal and immense.

This was always going to settle unfortunately..When Britney was in the conservatorship things done to her fell within the “legal” category which is sad! In the eyes of the California court she had no human rights at all. I hope Britney can find a way to move on and maybe make some differences for future people with disabilities. ❤️

I really doubt Rosengart would've agreed to any other agreement that wasn't in Britney's favor

I've always known that she wont get justice in court. Court is corrupt.

That is why it is so important to SHAME these "people" PUBLICLY on all platforms.

stronger1992, it is not a criminal court. It's all about accounting and fees. For a criminal trial, you need the police and a prosecutor involved and proof of a crime. It could still happen but not in probate court.

If this is what's Best for Britney, so be it. Her peace of mind is what's important. She could still get loads of money if she wanted to. Although I wish she could have justice of the abuse she had in the conservatorship. Maybe that could still happen.

I have 2 things to say:

1.- My heart aches for Britney but the writing's been on the wall for over a year now.

2.- Britney's lawyer is such an incompetent MF that should be ashamed of his very own sloppiness and stupidity.. he is a JOKE.  He was all for the cameras, publicity and the awards he won under the spotlight of #FreeBritney. But the moment Britney needed him the most thats when his stupid and negligent *** shined. **** him

You were right all along babe about Rosengart dropping the ball, this won't turn into a criminal case I think Britney will sail on her way now that she settled.
