Well, it was stated that she is not even allowed to sign contracts... It's hard to believe she can actually decide what to do with her career... even small moves like releasing a 4 year old song (wich is far from being something Britney would do tbh).

Legally, she doesn't have final say on a single, solitary decision in her life.

However, she should be consulted on every single decision in her life.

Many people live in conservatorships, and are content to do so, because they have the opportunity to provide valued input into their care.

It's when they don't have the opportunity to provide input that a conservatorship becomes a problem.

From what we've seen through her Instagram, it appears as if Britney is content with her life right now. That tells me that she's being consulted and has been given more input than when Jamie and Andrew Wallet were at the helm.

Also, another big difference is that in the end the Whitney family or team takes care of her image, her catalog, her work, her legacy, etc. In the case of Britney this has almost never happened and less post-2008.

I still don't understand why this fandom does't understand that Britney IS NOT WORKING, at least until her dad is out of the map. If she hasn't recorded any video talking about this new releases is maybe because she is not involved and do not want to participate. Even in the credits of the vinyl Lou is part of them, that speaks for itself. I don't think she doesn't want to communicate or work, she is not allowed to do it freely and she is a person who likes to be free.

again, correct me if i’m wrong but i’m pretty sure sl04n said in one of his videos that she’s under a probate conservatorship, which is the kind of conservatorship someone with dementia or who’s comatose would be under. someone who is literally incompetent and can’t think logically to make any decisions. i know sl04n gets details wrong sometimes, but this makes sense since the reason she was put into the conservatorship so fast back in 2008 was because jamie claimed she had a “dementia-like illness”. she hasn’t said anything publicly because she’s not allowed to. i go back and forth between whether she’s in control of her instagram or not, but i think once the tik toks of people trying to help her and pointing out things like the yellow shirt or what her eyelashes said got a lot of attention, that’s when her team really put their foot down and stopped letting her post as much. i think she had more control over her instagram last year too, when she posted that video about she’s a sagittarius meaning she’s very keen on freedom and doesn’t like to be tied down. i don’t think she hates her fans at all, i think she’s running out of ways to tell us things which is why she started speaking through the court documents.

I have to say the Britney we once knew is not the Britney we know today and we are so left in the dark. It’s so hard to figure out if we support freeBritney or her music. She has really shown the past two years that her fans really don’t matter and all we are trying to do is help her.

No one can help her, if she doesn’t help herself first. I guess her son was right that she is no longer interested in making music.

Honey,  if Britney was ok with all this she'd have just promoted the ******* song.  That's what would make RCA happy and if she wanted fans to be happy she'd just ******* say something.  Come on... Sam who doesn't give a **** about what his good pal Maxi has to say hasn't even spoken through him or on his own about it either.  Nobody is speaking about it.  That's a pretty good indication that something is wrong. Don't you think???? Britney supposedly gave her blessing to all this old stuff while in a legal battle where she said she wasn't working and she can't come out and promote it? Kinda hard to not be confused right now tho. But she said she doesn’t want to work in court, so I’m respecting that decision and not supporting until she explicitly states to do so

This whole thing reminds me of what they do when a star dies.. Throw out and repackage all the stuff stored. I have been really angry with fans for supporting this but lately I have realised we all have our own reasons for supporting this or boycotting it and it does no good. 

I personally must admit I haven't even heard the song yet and have no want to listen to it. I have moved away from her as an artist for now until this whole mess is sorted out. As long as there is doubt over her work/life situation and this re-release/new songs are being released  I have to walk away.

This release combined with all of the old Britney birthday posts and old pictures made me feel some type of way.  It feels like Britney the person has been deplatformed from Britney the brand and the disconnect is eerie.
