I love this song and the whole album but something is kind of weird about the vocal mixing of this track. I don’t know how to explain but it sounds like they sang it live on radio or something.

It sounds like Beyoncé is trying to out-sing Miley by belting. Miley’s voice sounds much more relaxed and effortless compared to beyonces

The radio sound was intentional. It’s part of the 2nd segment (tracks 15-17) of the “SMOKE HOUR” radio show. Also, there isn’t much reverb and only a slight echo/delay on the vocals, making it sound more up front. Does it feel like their vocals are tapping on your sinuses when you listen with headphones?

I love Miley. She has such a unique voice. Shame we can barely hear it over the screaming.

between new taylor and dua i can't see this being a hit. the interest in this album is already plummeting. Rhianna who has not had new music in 8 years is getting more streams.  

i find it so so interesting the media props her up. the math is not mathing for me.

It’s kind of cool because most songs nowadays are overly polished. This track almost sounds like a live performance. It’s very refreshing
