She hypes herself so much that I'm going to be hard on her: This is incredibly underwhelming as a first single, she cannot be expecting to break anybody's soul with this, da f@k...
Havind said that, as a YOUNG ADULT music fan, this is good. I looooove her vocals, she has a beautiful voice and you can tell she's using it and playing with it, which I appreciate a lot. Also, this sound is very nineties, SO JUSTICE FOR CHROMATICA. Please don't tell me that you're all gonna love this sound now just because it comes from Beyoncé, when Gaga already did it a year ago and you all paid her dust. Also...

And even...

It's weird that she didn't release the video at the same time as the song though, because she's such a control freak (in the worst sense, tbh) that she does not let you digest things your own way, everything has to go through her first, so this is actually good. I usually listen to the song first, and THEN I watch the video. You should do so too so you're able to get a first impression, and then how the artist intends you to process it, and that's how you can come up with your own personal conclusion.

So it took 8 writers and in total 18 people to write/produce/master this song ... hmmm ok Tonight Show Yes GIF by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Omg...you all hate so much, you dont even bother to use your brains and just think for a moment. LOL. If a song has a sample, producers and songwriters of that sample must receive credit. Thus why a song, which has a sample, have so many "writers" on the credit.

It still doesn't change the fact 18 people worked on that song ... the original + the new versions.

She put herself on a pedestal as a queen so we expect something amazing from her, not the most generic house sample and MIDI sounding piano keys

I like it, not loving yet. Excited to listen to the other tracks tho.

I guess this is the new trend, her and Drake are pivoting in the same direction. We're going back to the early 90s house music :neydedance_purple:

She sampled this two songs

Wow the remix of show me love is in the charts since two yrs, right?

At least sample something that hasn't been reissued in the last 5 years.

Last time the Us was in a recession was in 2008, Lady Gaga arrived and said nobody is working and eviction notices everywhere, let's Party and dance our lives to death.

2022 some things don't change, nobody is really working, eviction notices, time to party til we're numb Beyonce and Drake everybody else will follow through in formation, as usual

Lol anyone who doesn’t like this track, needs to really reevaluate their musical ear. This is fresh for Beyonce and literally a fun track. Homage to 90s house (pls stop w the incorrect decade analysis, it hurts to read people having zero idea what decade and sound this is) and a positive message. I’m so excited to see the video, performances and all things Beyonce summer 2022. Ayyyyyyyyy

So excited to see what she does with this! Glad all the "edgy" shxt is kinda been done now... And we're just getting a fun summer track I could def bop to this :bop_beyonce_dancing_yes_Yas_cheer_party_glasses:

Tbh we all know what the issue was with Chromatica - lack of promotion and live performances. The album was really promising. Plus, people were eating it up upon its release; it's just that she forgot about it quite quickly. As for the sample, it's been overused and that's one thing that bothers me about Break My Soul.:katyclown_makeup_mess_pie_meme_smile:

Some fans are speculating that she might release the music video on Friday and perform at the BETs this Sunday. But also, because she's become a bit predictable about how she releases stuff, she's now doing it in a different way -> the oldschool way. Let's see if she nails it.
