Popular Post PlayboyMommy
The New York Times published a new article about their forthcoming documentary, Framing Britney Spears. It premieres on Friday, Feb. 5, at 10 p.m. on FX and streaming on Hulu. The documentary, “Framing Britney Spears,” features interviews with key insiders, including: a lifelong family friend who traveled alongside Spears for much of her career the marketing executive who originally created Spears’s image a lawyer currently working on the conservatorship and the lawyer Spears tried to hire in the early days of the conservatorship to challenge her father Below is a copy + paste of the article: Quote Britney Spears hasn’t been able to fully live her own life for 13 years, stuck in a court-sanctioned conservatorship. A new documentary by The New York Times examines what the public might not know about the pop star’s court battle with her father for control of her estate. “My client has informed me that she is afraid of her father,” Britney Spears’s court-appointed lawyer told a judge in November. “She will not perform again if her father is in charge of her career.” The career of one of music’s biggest superstars — and her life, in some ways — is at a standstill. The country was enthralled with Spears in the 1990s as she suddenly ascended to global superstardom. Then the public seemed to relish watching her personal struggles, turning her life into fodder for late-night talk show zingers, sensationalist interviewers and a thriving tabloid magazine industry. That was a long time ago. These days, Spears is enduring a stranger, and maybe even darker chapter: She lives under a court-sanctioned conservatorship, her rights curtailed. She is not in control of the fortune she earned as a performer. Spears entered the conservatorship in 2008, at age 26, when her struggles were on public display. Now she is 39, and a growing number of her fans are agitating on her behalf, raising questions about civil liberties while trying to deduce what Spears wants. A new feature-length documentary by The New York Times captures what the public might not know about the nature of Spears’s conservatorship and her court battle with her father over who should control her estate. The new film, on FX and Hulu, also explores the fervent fan base that is convinced Spears should be liberated from the conservatorship, and re-examines the media’s handling of one of the biggest pop stars of all time. 38 Link to comment

Fe 2. ? 3. Please don't tell me it's Vivien Thoreen or some other lawyer on Jamie's side. Sam Ingham previously declined to provide a statement to a media outlet as did Lynne's lawyers meanwhile Vivien was running her mouth. From an ethical standpoint, surely no lawyer working on the case should be giving media interviews. 4. Adam Streisand as already know. 4 4 Link to comment

The marketing executive is probably going to be Jeff Fenster, the A&R who first got Britney signed to Jive Quote "And then came Britney. Jeff [Fenster], head of A&R; at Jive Records got a cassette from a lawyer, along with a composite photo card. The cassette was of Britney singing to a track written for Toni Braxton. It was in the wrong key. But Jeff heard something. And one of the pictures on the composite card. Of Britney sitting on a blanket stroking a dog. Jeff suddenly knew her innocence would appeal to young girls and old men! He flew her to New York. He'd never seen anything like it before. The sheer ambition! This wasn't a mother pushing her daughter, this kid wanted it!" Imagine if it was Steve Lunt though That would be insane especially considering how much time they spent together back in the day 5 1 Link to comment

NewDisplayName
I wanted someone with a real power to speak about it - someone who can’t be easily scared of the evil team cause we saw many examples when even celebrities got silenced.. so I’m kind of scared what they will say(even fe).. 1 8 Link to comment

Sea flower
I think a good piece of journalism should include all parties involved. Then nobody would accuse them of being biased. I am still hoping for the best. 9 Link to comment

I thought the lawyer would be Andrew Wallet, but they say currently working, so maybe it IS Toreen as someone said. Maybe Jodi too. 2 Link to comment

kleinbritney
You should finally deal with the contradictions in the court documents. What can Fe say Fe will not say that Britney is falsely under guardianship. Fe is also part of the machinery 4 3 Link to comment

Yeah no matter which side lawyer is present he/she will be pro conservatorship. I have a feeling Fe will be pro conservatorship as well because she is on team Spears payroll after all. They probably asked her to participate to calm fans down. And that 2009 lawyer is also pro conservatorship but against James. So he will not be helpful either. 3 Link to comment
