Facebook is now labeling #FreeBritney posts as fake news, using the new USA Today article as a reference

Ive been warning ya'll about social media arbitrarily deciding whats "fake news" and whats not, now do you guys believe me?

Allowing social media companies to dictate to the public what is real or not is far more dangerous than allowing people to post actual fake news to begin with.

thats why Trump got the reason, anyone could manipulate with money the information

I wrote this so far (please check so I can send it to USA Today!):

It has come to my attention that Facebook isn't allowing #FreeBritney posts due to the USA Today fact-check article on Britney Spears' conservatorship (yet it's still allowing far right troll farms run rampant in its platform).

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020/07/22/fact-check-britney-spears-conservatorship-isnt-manipulating-her/5430229002/

So, I'm gonna fact-check the fact-check.

While I do agree that the one Tiktok post going viral contains outdated and misleading information bordering conspiracy theory status, the fact-check itself skips over important information and even presents fake news as the truth.

Let's start with the most important part, which is the one I want everyone to pay attention to:

https://theblast.com/c/britney-spears-kevin-federline-restraining-order-jaime-child-abuse

Britney's children have a restraining order against Britney's  guardian/conservator of 12 years. That means two obvious things: Britney doesn't have custody of her children anymore due to a third party (whose presence was required in her life as a conservator) AND it puts in doubt whether her conservator has provided a healthy environment to her. Are we NOT supposed to be in doubt that her environment isn't abusive?

As USA Today itself reported, last year the judge of her case ordered a 730 expert evaluation after hearing Britney and her parents. According to TMZ, the evaluation was ordered in the court hearing in which Britney told the judge she was forced into a mental health facility. A conservator is not allowed to force conservatees into facilities.

https://www.tmz.com/2019/05/13/britney-spears-free-social-media-conservatorship-jamie/

She indeed could file to end the conservatorship and, regarding this, we are scratching our heads as much as you are. But we have evidence she is silenced and isolated. I'm going to break this down:

- in 2008, her manager admitted he's not allowed to talk about the conservatorship.

"[...]but he gets uncomfortable when asked to explain how Jamie helped her get better. “I can’t talk about him, because I’m not allowed to talk about the conservatorship."

https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/britney-spears-returns-254594/

- the first and last time Britney said the word "conservatorship" was in 2016, but she was censored.

There was an available fan video of the moment that was lost due to several copyright strikes.

https://www.iheart.com/content/2016-09-29-britney-spears-opens-up-about-her-conservatorship-for-the-first-time-report/

- before and after that, all instances in which she talked about the conservatorship were vague (including the quote in For the Record). She, her management or her employees can't mention the conservatorship.

???? haven't found what I wanted on this yet

- In 2019, Britney didn't even have an email address.

"Today, Spears exists in a carefully protected bubble, handlers shielding her from negative influences or hangers-on. She doesn’t have an email address, [...]"

https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/style/the-battle-of-britney-spears/2019/05/17/edcc826c-7681-11e9-bd25-c989555e7766_story.html

- She didn't have access to internet in 2019

"Britney doesn't have a smartphone -- only a flip phone -- because of what she might do if she has access to the internet."

https://www.tmz.com/2019/05/07/britney-spears-using-mother-lynne-mental-health-dark-period/

- She didn't have a cell phone in 2011 either

"I don't own a cellphone."

https://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/25-things-you-dont-know-about-me-britney-spears-2011233/

- Conditions to interview her are described as 'insane'.

“I was jst TOLD my @britneyspears interview tomm on @ampradio MUST b pre-recorded & submitted 4 approval by HER mgmt b4 it can air! F THAT! never that restricted. Even when I interviewed Michael Jackson, it wasn’t anything like this…it’s really insane."

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/carson-daly-goes-britney-spears-insane-interview-conditions-172922

- The lawsuits and persecution didn't just stop at Anthony Elia.

In 2008, BreatheHeavy.com owner Jordan Miller was threatened by Britney's conservator: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4490uAkZgSw

In 2019, Britney's business manager sued Bryan Kuchar for suggesting she was behind Britney's conservatorship and that she wanted to exorcise a demon supposedly living in Britney: https://celebrityinsider.org/bullying-or-free-speech-britney-spears-manager-lou-taylor-sues-fan-bryan-kuchar-who-she-says-is-behind-parody-websites-322768/

Britney is isolated and cut off from outside communication. Those are signs of conservatorship abuse - she can't talk about it and no one can criticize it. Scare tactics.

And at last but not least: the article claims that her conservatorship was extended in early May due to a gym fire. The claim leads me to an USA Today link in which you don't see the words "conservatorship" or "extended" anywhere. In fact, the May status hearing was rescheduled due to COVID-19, information I was able to find in the LA Court COVID-19 news area: https://www.lacourt.org/newsmedia/ui/covid19NewsCenter.aspx

I completely comprehend one being disinterested in the life of a rich pop star, but that's not a valid excuse to allow lousy journalism that leads into lousy censorship. People are worried she might be placed in an abusive environment and I think these clarifications should be made at least 'inconclusive' to allow people to voice their worries.

So... I'm thinking about deleting the part of her 'isolation'. Because the last part is big to me.

I think it looks good.

It is really important that they don't rule out the movement when there's still many things that are on the air.

Y’all have lost your minds. Freebritney IS fake news. The sooner y’all pull yourselves out of the rabbit hole, the better.

Your importance here is fake news.

If you want to be a blind sheep then by all means go lick Lou’s ***** and while you’re at it suck Jamie’s **** as well.

If you don’t wanna see the truth then go spread your negativity elsewhere.

Britney needs to say something at this moment, maybe she doesn't have access to the internet, but there's always something she could do for herself. Eventually, nobody can save her if she refuses to save herself. I'm so tired right now.

Ive thought about this. I know she probably doesnt want to be harassed how she was in 2007, but she must have seen by now that its way too diffcult for her to get out of this situation when even her family isnt helping her publicly, saying nothing. If Bryan, Lynne or anyone around her that truly cared and wanted her out, could record a video to say smt like "Britney is really controlled so she cant speak for herself, but I know for a fact she wants out and abuse is happening. She needs help".  What if Preston recorded smt exposing some things? Would what he said, be taken into consideration? Or not bc hes a minor? She probably doesnt want her kids envolded in this mess anyway.

My question is: does everyone around her agree with Jamie and are closer to him or they are just afraid of him and go with the flow?

At this point, shes barely seeing her kids. I also dont understand what she has to lose. She could ask Sam or even her kids to leak a video out of her saying she doesnt want to be under the cship, is being abused and the cship is controlling her. She could even get their phones when they are doing smt and arent looking. Does she think no one will believe in her and will make her look worse to the judge? Is team B threatning her? With what? She sees her kids every two weeks.

Another thing I was thinking about is how she has been gaslighted and that could possibly have made her think its her destiny, her fault, and she will have to deal. Imagine if she tries to speak about how she wants freedom with anyone around her that follow Jamies bs, they would probably say its the best for her and she needs it. They would make her think its ok.

Then I was also thinking about Stockholm syndrome. Could that be the case? Maybe she fears her dad could be in trouble and her family would blame her? Maybe she doesnt want to break up that ****ed up family? I know she never got along with her dad, but maybe shes really superior and doesnt want bad things happening with him either.

i wish im wrong and shes still fighting. That she knows this isnt her fault and If her dad is abusing her, he has to pay, no matter how this will affect other people in her family. She needs to think about herself first bc no one is doing that for her, but I bet people around her make that diffcult. I hope she still has strenght to fight. I mean, after 12 years id be exhausted.

I think If she would speak, a lot of stars would back her up. I feel like a lot of people dont say anything bc they arent hearing from her, probably they dont want trouble for smt they arent sure about.

added a bit to emphasize that.

Anyone else? I'm gonna send it~

I like it. Its great.

I dont know If its worth to mention Wallet's resignation and his words  "inevitable damage etc"? Or Samuel Ingham being Britney's attorney considering his allegedly involvelment in conspirancy to ****** plot? But maybe they will see this as "conspirancy theories", idk really...

This is terrible. I've seen so many passionate tweets today to get #FreeBritney trending...I think we should also direct some energy and tag @USAToday and the author of the article (her handle is @devonslink). Please do not shame or attack them, but please do ask them to dig deeper or reconsider/revise/take down their article. This isn't about fans being obsessed and creating conspiracies. This is a human rights issue.
