Those royalties were and are obviously from fragrances. 2 hours ago, Steel Magnolia said: Anyone who goes to her show now is not doing Britney any favours. The truth is Britney is really as good as the team that's around her. Even though the Circus Tour was never anywhere near how she used to perform, she clearly did put in effort and that was the last time there was any resemblance of Britney from 98-2004 as a performer. It wasn't universally well received because she wasn't the performer she was in the past and because there was more competition from Beyonce Taylor Swift Lady Gaga Rihanna etc... But it really was the last time she seemed invested as the production...and this was after her VMA thrashing. I believe she would have returned to prior form with a longer break. Even then there are plenty of things she/her team could have done since 2013 to better her performances if they were creative enough. It shouldn't always be about bottom line. Sure some people like it and some don't but that shouldn't mean she can't improve. Link to comment

Each album comes with merchandise of each song I.e a domination perfume , jumper, sleep wear , stickers e.t.c and that’s way she wouldn’t need to promote . and it’s a visual dance album , with how to choreography. I think fans would be happy with 9 songs, strong visuals and a how to. Link to comment

PokemonSpears
I think it's ok, tbh. There wasn't a single interview about the show or any other kind of video, message, she didn't even talk in the ANNOUNCEMENT. Those Instagram posts/stories I don't think they're doing much. I don't even read them lol I bought my tickets already, and I don't care if it's the same or worse than the Summer tour, but that's me. I totally understand if other fans aren't willing to pay for it, and I totally understand how many people are unaware that she's got a new show. The thing is, even if all fans turned their back on her, "to do her a favour" there will always be GP buying her tickets, even if the shows aren't totally sold out. If MGM wants to sell more, they're gonna have to find ways to promote by themselves among the people in Vegas or through their own social media (I actually don't follow any yet, so I ignore if they've been promoting anything) because I ignore if Britney is contractually obliged to do something. MGM must have analysed all of this beforehand. They must have thought about how to sell a show that has been going on for years at Planet Hollywood and convince people that they're actually offering something different, better, this time. If by the end of the two years she hasn't sold enough, they just won't renovate the residency, but she still will be payed (or so I think) so why would she care? Link to comment
indyRS
Piece of me wasn't as bad as people make it out to be. The problem is. She wasn't doing anything to really leave the crowd wanting more. So when a new show is announced. People will be like, "ehh, probably won't be different from POM.". She needs to really go in for this. Make it a big spectacle. Of she's doing a number that doesn't involve hard choreography, then she needs to work that stage with visuals and unison with her dancers. Take the visuals from Circus Tour and amp it up for this show. It's fine if she doesn't plan on dancing much for a song like Circus, but she needs to make sure that the audience's eyes are glued to that stage with her doing something visually appealing. Walking around lipping to songs and dishing out moves here and there ain't cutting it. It was fine for the first run of POM, but that's because she hasn't had a greatest hits show in a long time. So people just wanted to see her on stage doing the songs they love. This will be the ultimate test to see how she can evolve at this point in her life. Link to comment
.: lucky :.
why is everyone saying it's going to be a 2 year residency? everything i'm seeing says 32 shows, february - august. it's almost like a mini residency, quick cash grab. there very well might not be any new music in that case... They’re not going to announce ALL of the dates at once. The ‘Domination’ residency will run from 2019-2021. If it’s as successful as POM maybe it’ll get extended another 2 years. Most Vegas residencies last 2 years. If not they refer to it as a limited engagement. This is still very much a cash grab tbh. Britney Spears is ready to do it again in Las Vegas, with insider sources confirming that the pop superstar has reached a deal with MGM Resorts to pay her $500,000 per show for a two-year contract beginning in 2019. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.casino.org/news/britney-spears-reportedly-inks-500k-per-show-deal-with-mgm-resorts/amp Link to comment

To me that's what this all seems like, nobody is willing to fund anything so they do the bare minimum to fulfill contractual obligations, Britney gets the sign on money from the casino and yadda yadda. Nobody in control feels that new Britney material is worth investing in but the thing is they are doing it ALL wrong. What a shame. Link to comment
