Very impressive on the streaming platforms. Songs are decent, but for that kind of melancholic music I prefer it from Lana

I've only listened to it once, so I can't really form an opinion on specific songs, but overall, I really enjoyed it. It's very much a vibe, and I totally get the Lover comparisons now. Midnights reminds me of tracks like Daylight, Afterglow, etc., and some Reputation songs too (namely, Call It What You Want). If Lover, for example, has really high highs but also really low lows, then Midnights is probably her most consistent album to date. There were no songs I disliked but also none that I was instantly obsessed with.

My two favorites were Lavender Haze and Vigilante Shot, the rest were too slow. I was expecting kind of like reputation hard sound.

I definitely like the album way better than Folklore/Evermore but it still doesn’t do much for me. I’m tired of all these melodramatic and melancholic lyrics and styles of singing. Sounds like depression with a beat. 

I was hoping for more energy and passion.
