Britney Spears' cousin Alli Sims says in 2009 interview Britney was afraid of losing control of her life

Honest to god this is horrible! People dragging her that she's never stoop up for Britney but you've got to realise that she's normal and when 9 lawyers including Jamie allegedly show up to you with a document to stay away from Britney, you'd step down too. It's a matter of power dynamic and it seems like everyone felt powerless against the conservatorship team. No one dared to oppose Jamie and his lawyers. According to Ali, so did Britney at one point. I hope things get better for Britney, ugh.

I think they conned Alli into an interview and made her think it would be about her career and music + a little about Britney  notice how she keeps deflecting back to her music and they keep going back to asking ?’s about our beloved queen

The fans disliked her probably because they were assuming that because Jamie and his team cut out everyone out of Britney's life, including Alli, that must mean she was a bad influence. Turned out it was team conservatorship who was and continues to be a bad influence all along... Alli seems very genuine and sweet in this interview. Soo... she last spoke to Britney in March 2008. Interesting. And sad because Britney clearly wanted to keep in touch with her but she just wasn't allowed to... A capable adult woman whose father gets to say who she can be friends with and manage hundreds of other things related to everyday life and career. Oh, and money of course. How this is legal will never not be shocking to me.

I always got a weird vibe...living off her, getting to buy clothes with her & not working to get rid of these awful people in her life at the time. Seems off...then immediately after trying to take off with a solo music career seemed opportunistic.

She also mentioned being in New York doing something with Us Weekly while Britney was going to the hospital...like, why would she be talking to Us Weekly? Was she making a buck off Britney when she needed her most?
