Lady Gaga announces she's not representing the LGBT community, but is here if they need help..

In 2009 to promote Her Grammy winning best dance recording track poker Face, gaga did a marketing ploy saying it's about her Bi***uality..

 

So for awhile it was believed she was one of us, however in a 2017 Rupaul's drag race appearance.  She says she is straight but an ally .

 

Some people called her out on her lying she represented us when she used the community to actually get more support instead of being the flash in the pan that many Music critics at the time declared her to be.

 

In 2021, she basically clarified once more while she supports us, she doesn't represent us and says we technically don't need representation anymore these days.

She's held speeches and has been a great ally and saved many lives with her unforgiving forwardness by being an idol.

Other artists have never been as outspoken as her and proud of her lgbtqt friends and fans.

This is why I’ll never consider her an icon like Madonna or Britney. Everything they did was natural and was being themselves and they got attention for it. Gaga just seems like she plans to create controversy and get attention.

Madonna’s Vogue, Britney’s snake and their performance with Xtina were all fun moments. Gaga’s VMAs all seem too planned like she’s waiting to read her name in the news the next day.

I guess unpopular opinion, but her questionable decisions don’t change the fact that she was one of the biggest gay icons of the 2010s, and that both Gaga and her Born This Way album did a lot to help our community. I’m sure it literally saved lives just by giving more representation, standing up for us, and uplifting us.

The 2000s and early 2010s were not great times to be gay, yet there she was with a hugely popular song standing up for us and encouraging us to be prideful and ourselves. You can’t now go back and say that that didn’t matter back then since she’s being questionable now.
