It's a joke she hasn't won a Grammy for any of her work tbh.

Mrs. Petty used almost every Nicki cliche that she could fit within Twitter's character limit; bragging about her chart success, accusations of racism, and the use of the phrase "female rapper"; she only left out calling herself the Queen of Rap. 

That said, why are people acting as if chart success and popularity = Grammys? Esperanza Spalding beat JB for the Best New Artist Grammy back in 2011 despite her chart success being nonexistent compared to JB's. Likewise, Beck beat Beyonce's self-titled for AOTY in 2015 despite his album selling only a fraction of what self-titled sold. The list goes on and on.

She's everything the Music industry doesn't Like. Especially with female rappers. 

 

She had a contract with Warner lined up, but the contract stated she wouldn't be allowed to write a single word in her own.

 

Already, the industry had these rules against self made female artist's. 

 

The tradition is still there.

They Tried shopping her, she came close. But she refused. 

 

They basically told her she couldn't write and that they would hire a ghostwriter for her. 

 

So the industry knew who she was, so they always been against her since she refused to play their game.

I don't think Nicki's artistry is particularly interesting. She has great verses and has interesting word play here and there, but she always falls back on being bootylicious. She is a great rapper, but artist, not sure about that.

Rappers after 2000 dont deserve any awards and thats that on that  All they're singing about is *****, ****s, ***,money and jewelry. How is any of that prize worthy? Rappers of the last century were revolutionary, fought and died for the rights of black people. Every verse was an anthem against hatred and and oppressive system. What exactly do "rappers" like Nicki, Cardi, Lil Wayne or whoever is big at this point have to offer to black community or the world in general? Absolutely nothing.

They should be ashamed for letting down their community and for taking something so revolutionary and pure as rap and hip hop and twist it into a disgrace that it is today

Mmkay dear let's just say that that whole Exorcist performance proves why you didn't deserve the Best New Artist Grammy. That was a MESS, and for her to even make that choice proved to me that she was still too raw to be a Grammy winner artist, nevertheless it was a recognition and a nod to her to keep up the work and come back another year.

And also when will she just go to therapy? Like it's not cute to be petty dear, at all. How affected she got with Cardi's rise, trying to dismiss her at any cost was just SAD, and for her to be pushing 40 years old and to completely dismiss Bon Iver artistry just because she didn't win is shows maybe a lack of maturity. Let go, you're the queen, breathe dear.

She very often reminds me of Kanye, both are brilliant artists with egos out of control.
