Why do so many people hate Private Show?

I think it's more to do with how most people tend to believe that deeper voice > high pitched voice, which we could compare with rock > pop, masculine > feminine, etc

Or maybe it's the way our brains are wired, but reading some of the comments in here I really can't comprehend how can anyone find her vocals annoying or compare them to "nails on a chalk board". I really don't get any of that when listening to this song or similar, and in fact I unironically enjoy her "baby voice" or "chipmunk voice" or whatever they call it. 

On the opposite for example, I can't stand that male vocals we hear in Blackout, or when they edit her voice to sound like a man like in Freakshow or Get Back, THAT is extremely annoying to me.

Her voice sounds like a chipmunk, it’s very cringy! And like someone else said.. you like that song but don’t like TOMH. It makes me question your taste too lol.

yeh i totally agree it is a classic and amazing  song.....but like you've said, we've heard it so much. i cant stand it anymore. even Britney has admitted she hates it now

It’s the pitch and autotune correction on her voice for me

Wish she would have used her darker voice for that

At first I didn't like it. Then I loved it -- although I'd totally have added "Mood Ring" as a standard track and left "PS" as the Japan Exclusive Bonus LOL Either way, being on the tracklist or not, I still think the album should've been called "Private Show" instead of her son's random suggestion

Cause:

1. She sounds like an autotuned chipmunk
2. the lyrics are generic and classless
3. Its too repetitive

 

I dont think Private Show should've been on Glory,

it could've worked as a jingle for her perfume of the same name
