Why do so many people hate Private Show?

I do like that they made her sound like she was in the Jackson 5 and it shows the versatility Britney is as a vocalist and artist but I just dont like the vibe or production.  

I do love Chillin with You so take my opinion with a grain of salt! ;p

Some fans just like some songs more  than others, we all have our own favorite Britney songs and we all have Britney songs we are not keen  on but for another fan  it might be their favourite Britney song. i hate Mannequin but another fan might absolutely love it. i absolutely love Amnesia and think its one of her best songs, another fan might think its utter crap. we all have different tastes and preferences and thats completely fine

ive admitted on here a few times i cant stand Baby One More Time anymore, im sure theres been people on here thinking how the hell can you hate such an iconic Britney song?

I think it's her vocals? She sounds good in some parts but in the chorus she overuses them and it sounds too strained. Obviously trying to be nice as possible. I remember some people thought she sounded like she had inhaled a bunch of helium before recording. Also not a fan of the 'apple pie' outro either.

The throwback vibes of the song are nice. But it's not really something I go back to often when listening to Glory songs.

The answer is simple. Because a lot of Britney fans really don't like it when Britney actually sings, exposes skills regarding vocal placements, and executes her unique signature voice. People will reject what they can't comprehend...

It has far too many negatives to enjoy the few positive moments throughout the song for me - it was a team concoction to tie in with another perfume ofc and it had to have a home. The visual for it was stunnnnning though. 
 

she has worse songs though, not a lot but… they do exist.

That really isn't true. There's plenty of other songs where Britney really showcases her vocal abilities. Most of Baby One More Time* (where she uses her natural voice), Where Are You Now, Shadow, Everytime, Someday, Perfume (some of her best post-breakdown vocals).... Private Show isn't a good example.

I liked Private Show, it felt like she was trying something out of the box. Of course, knowing what she was going through, who knows how much creative control she had a the time. But it felt very “her” to me.

They don’t like r&b so they wouldn’t know. This song slaps the beat is infectious and it’s a full serve. And talkin about the vocals that note in private show is more impressive than Any note hit on itz or blackout. “Ooh oh baby baby ooooooohhh”

A slightly nasally singing voice is fine, I actually like that to an extent. But it sounds like she’s doing that thing where you constrict your throat in a way that plugs your nose so you sound like you have a cold

Why do so many people hate this song?

"Chillin With Meow (Ate Some Creamp...) [Feat Juno Lou]" is reason why everybody hate it.

Private Show everybody hate for chipmunkey voice. There is a part with deep mature voice what is really cool, but before and after this part is the rest awkwardness.

Terrible vocal delivery. It’s unlistenable and one of her worst songs ever! Deleted it from my Glory playlist
