I’d like to believe that, at times, she felt at ease and comfortable on stage.  Maybe it’s the fan in me not wanting to believe she hates her career (I genuinely don’t think she does, she’s proven since 2019 that if she doesn’t want to work she won’t)…but I’d like to think she at least saw getting on stage as an escape.  For that hour and a half she wasn’t a foot away from Edan.  Her dad wasn’t there belittling her.  Robin was somewhere else in the building, not breathing down her neck.  And in those moments it was Britney, her dancers, and her fans - the people cheering her on and showing her support.

I guarantee she had days she didn’t want to get on stage, and I think she absolutely (and quite obviously) lost a lot of the spark she had pre-conservatorship, but I’d also like to think that she tried to keep some positivity and felt happy being surrounded by fans that, actually do love her, unlike her sick family.

I know y’all are loving and praising the Circus tour but tbh I went to her concert in Berlin back then and I was literally getting “I don’t want to be here” vibes from her.

I went to circus it was my time seeing her and I loved every second of it but I don’t know if this was because it was my first seeing her and after everything that had happened

For the longest time, it was interpreted as she was crying seeing her fans never left her or abandoned her as most do back in the day cos of how the industry was back then.. but.. after controlling Britney spears, it's now being seen as she's crying cos she feels helpless and hopeless after being forced to work against her will. 

 

Probably sending a message that she's not happy. But, unfortunately in 2009, we were led to believe that it would end after this tour. 

 

Which it didn't.   But now we know she was giving out messages in a Morris code way asking for help that wouldn't get her in trouble..

Most fans are saying if she wants to retire she's earned it, we can't ask her to make us new Music, she doesn't owe us that. 

 

Plus most agree she probably hates her career cos of what happened,

Pretty much. I know a lot of fans of gearing up for the new Britney record but I put myself in her place and I'd want to get as far away from what helped trapped me to begin with. How could any of this still be fun, awesome, thrilling, etc? It's like getting out of prison and you want to take a tour through the prison a year later so you can remember the fun times you had in jail. Not gonna happen. 

Whatever happens, I still wish Britney the best.
