Dancer speaks out: they dragged Britney by her arms back to perform when w**d smell was in the arena

Of course! I don’t blame her and it’s so messed up that was even a consideration she had to deal with while performing…

I’m just surprised that a contact high could potentially show up on a test!

I don't think it would show up on a test but if seeing my kid was a risk I would freak out and leave...

She just didn't want to take any risk to loose her kids and everyone would have done the same.

What they did by dragging her by the arm is heartless and bad.

To be honest, I don’t think it can... but like I said she prolly didn’t wanna take any chances... I think the circus era was when her voicemail that was leaked was originally made. So I think she thought if she had a chance to get out the first thing they would do was **** test her. So why take a chance.. Britney is so damn strong.

My ever-expanding list for all the reasons I cannot stand Jamie and company just keeps growing. I hate them all. :girlbye_walking_away_leave_get_out_leaving_chair_okay:

I do agree with you 200% but lets not forget how naive at some point everyone was, us included. We were totally distracted, as a magician (ironically the Circus theme) distracts the audience, with singles, music videos, tours. We were too busy enjoying her 'comeback' and so moved by the story she went back from hell stronger than ever and bla bla bla.... when in fact, they kept her in hell. She eventually came to terms with her situation as she said, maybe she was in denial.

Even when we all knew she remained under the c-ship, we never had all of pieces of the entire puzzle, we still dont have them but the perspective of the whole thing is clearer than it was in 2009,2010, etc.

Yes, I do agree that once you see someone being treated in such way, your moral (or whatever you wanna call it) dictates you to speak up and do something but lets set it all in context.

These people (dancers) had not so much power in the industry, their careers were in risk, they most likely would have been dragged by the fanbase rather than supported, Look at Iggy Azalea, the support outside the fanbase would have simply been unexistent, team B would have silenced and fired them immediately.

I do believe that, yes we are angry many people havent said a single word about the case but we need to encourage as many people as possible to speak up. Right now it's not a time for blaming people, once she is free we can argue about all those things. Everyone who witnessed some abusive behavior must be encouraged to speak up, rather than afraid of saying something.

This. Look at how much power team con used to have until a whistleblower came out and even then it took a lot for them to finally slowly lose power. If a normal background dancer or whatever went to the police back then, what do you think they'd have done? Nothing, that's what, with a corrupt judge and lawyers overseeing Britney's case who all knew what was going on anyway. It's easy for someone like me to say "I'd have spoken out, if not in court then on social media!" and I'd like to believe that I would have, but let's never forget how dangerous team con really is. We know they've threatened people in the past, and destroyed careers (or tried to) in order to silence people. Everything in me wants to yell at everyone who could have spoken out years earlier but didn't, but I try to understand that in the end the fear was just too real. And with team con feeding lies to the world no one would have believed it anyway. Most of us back then believed them and I remember a lot of people, including myself, feeling grateful towards Jamie for "saving" Britney because we didn't know any better and were too young to truly understand.

Its a concert, are you really surprised that people get drunk and take ***** at them?

Well obviously not lol. I went to a festival two years ago and there was loads of people around me doing *****. But an indoor arena? Idk it just always struck me as a place that would be very strict about letting in anyone with illegal *****. I have never been to an arena concert where people had smoked w**d.

They used time with kids as bargaining chips in the first place to get her to work and earn money for TeamCon.

She just wanted to see her kids. Imagine how scared she was, that she worried a w**d contact high could be used against her and stop her from seeing them.

Also, why were audience members even smoking w**d? Surely that’s not allowed at a concert? Did security not check these people over?

Lol this was Vancouver where it was extremely common practice to hot box the entire arena for any concert. I was second row to the side of one of the smaller rings... it was VERY smokey... but again, the people smoking wouldn't have thought much of it as this was EVERY show in that arena despite it being a non-smoking facility. You could tell the moment she came near and smelled it.

This moment also confirmed for me that her mic wasn't really on since right before the curtain drops she grabbed her mic and said something into it, likely about the smell of w**d

As an audience member it was frustrating because the lights had been off for nearly 20 minutes before they announced it was too smoky and finally opened the vents. Then it was an additional 20 minutes to clear the smoke. The rumor at the time was she got a run in her tights and was having a hissy fit over it since the smoke being a hazard to her and the dancers seemed unlikely with all the other smoke machines going that were part of the actual show.

Looking back of course I have a different perspective but this was my very first Britney show and it didn't meet my expectations, especially for how much I paid for the ticket. It was disappointing at the time and a weird moment.
