Britney’s Original make me video was MUCH better than the released one and I am sure this was pretty discussed here already, but I just made a crazy theory: what if the real video was scrapped because of the sponsors? We can’t really see how much of eos lip balm Britney uses on the original version while in the official one she uses it 20% of the time. Maybe eos was not convinced that Britney actually promoted the brand on her video? What do you think? Yes this has been discussed before and no I don’t believe it’s due to to her not promoting the brand enough. the original me clearly shows her picking it up and using it and she even had the stupid glue did a photo shoot with it and the official one just showed like 2 secs of her putting it on at the end. I know its definitely some business deal gone wrong but I don’t think it’s lack of promoting since all the sponsors got their product placement in it.

im thinking her team thought it was too risqué or something cuz I can definitely see papa spears being bothered seeing his daughter simulating getting ****** in the rear end and grinding the floor. It’s my only reason for what happened cuz the official came out very tame and lame. I mean even the ending I can really call that risqué cuz it’s “artfully” shot to imply and the original seemed very in your face.

Personally, the whole thing was degrading and I don't see the reason folks here keep harping on how amazing it was when it was like a cheap, dirty porno version of Slave dreamed up by shriveled up old farts.

I think it was just more interesting a concept than having a mother’s meeting and auditioning younger men to be your dancer.

(that being said, britney has always been aware of her “audience” like baby one more time, however, what she wants to be her audience - Middle Aged single mums having fun - is not the audience she has and make me shows how misinformed she is about it. And she probably doesn’t want to be in gags and things - we, the fan base - are why.)

there's also that rumor that Britney got it scrapped since she apparently hooked up with that young dancer/model and then wanted nothing to do with him since her allegedly told everyone

If anything, the original version by David Lachapelle would have made fun of the sponsors.

David is a true artist, and I can't imagine him being happy to find out that his work of art had to feature product placements.

The situation reminds me of the Banksy painting that shredded itself after the buyer had already purchased it at auction. I imagine David's treatment of Eos and Orangetheory Fitness was probably the same.

Maybe I remember wrong...

I always wondered about that. James corden carpool happened before or after make me getting scrapped? James corden says something about seeing your mom in underwear that Britney doesn't seem really pleased about, annoyed almost. Could that or something similar have trigged this type of thinking? Why wouldn't want her kids to see her being "****" when they'd already seen her show?

:wyd:Ok am i the only one who doesn’t understand why Britney doesn’t want to be ****, considering her kids are both 12-13 and POM outfits are more revealing than OHT itself ? :wyd: for example, when she kissed Madonna interviewers asked what did her family think, if she was a lesbian and if she would do it again, she simply answered: “I wouldn’t do it again because that was for the performance acting, my family understood that and the public should too” so why wouldn’t she teach her kids that? :wyd:

This is the dancer that she put an insta up about getting sushi with after filming the video?

 

theres only a handful of videos that don’t have someone she hooked up with/ dated/ currently dated it’s a bit awks when you think about it.

but she should have learnt by now not to hook up with colleagues - maybe wait till the job is done - like Sam. :sipney:

I definetly think is could’ve been EOS or Orange Theory that ended up scrapping the original video. I’d be willing to bet Orange Theory didn’t like the idea of britney throwing a TV with their logo on it into a pool and electrocuting some dude in the pool. David probably didnt want to change it, since he would have to change the concept of that part of the vid, and therefore, “creative differences” were born.

 

Also, I think it’s important for us to remember that we are still missing a huge chunk of the video which connects the underground scenes and the house scenes.
