Right! The sign up salary probably went mostly to her BFF/manager Lou Taylor  .

Jamie Lynn is keeping the rest for herself. Maybe she will use some of the money to pay for her kids private school tuition and maybe, if necessary, she’ll help her husband pay towards the new house they are building/home expenses.

How exactly is it trying to gain sympathy for anyone? The story isn't even suggesting that Britney should pay for anything. I would argue that it just paints Lynne in a bad way.
