Don’t praise her for being atheist please

I see a lot of people praising her for becoming atheist, and that seems really stupid to me. I absolutely do not criticize her for her choices, she is free to believe or not believe what she wants, but I find it ugly that so many people praise her as if believing in God is wrong and bigoted, while becoming an atheist is cool

I think people are just praising her for being honest and vulnerable. Her faith is her private business.

No one has said believing in God was wrong. I'm sick of seeing Exhalers slam atheists these last few days as if there is something wrong with us. 

I think people are happy to see their fave hold their views.

And who knows what the future holds for her faith. She finally has the chance after 15 years to have the freedom to explore herself again. It will be a journey.

Maybe people just feel like they’re being represented, or feeling validated for how they feel.

 

I think it was a refreshing change from the same company line we’ve been feed for 15+ years.  I think it’s healthy to speak her truth even when it may make some uncomfortable.

Secondly, people will absolutely do what they want, when they want.

Third, we come here to discuss her life just as much as her music. 

Fourth, I think she should be praised for atheism because being godly has only led to war.

5 you have a right to post this but to call peopes actions disgusting is the whole reason why we feel she should be celebrated.

I think it’s sad just because what she has gone through has been so traumatic that it made her lose her faith so completely. Especially when she was a woman of faith for so many years (not just Baptist/Christian but Kabbalah and just being spiritual and praying period).

 

But people’s beliefs can change based on experiences. I know mine have.

imo the part "There is nothing to believe anymore" is the saddest part ... I don't see it as religious but well I'm not gonna expend myself on the subject.

I hope she will now live the happiest part of her life, she can still find that joy & love in life that she deserves, god or not, religion or not.

I'm just glad she discarded this nonsense  It really impresses me that in the XXI century we still have people who believe in things that were made up in ancient times to control and manipulate the simple folk

the saddest part is how big her faith was to her, that now she doesn't believe because of what was done to her. don't make it about god and what's "cool" — that's the reasons people hate christian's so much, you push your beliefs as "right" and condemn everyone else who thinks differently. allow britney the grace to sort through her faith and spirituality.

It will come full circle. Britney is sharing her journey and that's what matters. I look forward to see how her beliefs transform from here.

I'm an atheist because I think religious belief is irrational. It's speculative, based on wishful thinking and lacking in objective evidence. Even if there is a god, they would not be worthy of being worshipped. Injustice and despicable acts are committed in their name all the time. It's relative. I think accepting that there is no god is a healthier perspective than the alternative. Religious belief is the same to as someone believing in pizza-gate and/or QAnon.

 

So good for her. She is using reasoning to understand what is likely true about the world. I could be wrong about the existence of a god, but my experience in this reality points to that it's probably not true.

Im very religious, but I dont see anything wrong with atheists thinking its good shes moving away from religion, considering Britney now believes in what they believe.

Religious people will do the same thing if a celebrity moves into a more religious belief. I always loved that Britney has a connection with God that helps her.

At the end of the day, aslong as people respect others, I dont care what they personally believe.

There’s nothing wrong with believing in God, a large portion of his followers on the other hand are the problem, now not all religious people are bad people but the reality is, some of the most hateful people in this world claim to be religious!!

Her faith is her business 

Atheist just means you don’t believe in anything right now. I mean she’s gone through a lot so I imagine she’s finding it hard to see there is a god. But there is and we all have been where she is atleast small town people like myself have. But tbh it’s none of our business and no I don’t like atheists but I also still love her no matter what
