music I've done a 180° and "My Baby" is a keeper!

So in the past I believed that "My Baby" from the "Circus" album was not it. The song seemed so out of place on the album and down right boring. Especially with its cringe-worthy placing immediately following "Lace And Leather" (such an odd choice) ...but I decided to give the track a few plays recently and slowly warmed up to its sweet tenderness. I've done a 180° and now believe that with an altered placement behind "Out From Under", "My Baby" fits more comfortably into the "Circus" flow. Try it out yourselves, I'd love to know your thoughts...

I didn't before but I do now and I really believe it was because of the placement on Circus. It was so jarring going from ~watch me apply the pressure~ in Lace And Leather... to ~my precious love sent from above~ in My Baby but thankfully that's fixed for me so ~now I can just enjoy the riiide~

I believe this is one of Britney's most beautiful songs. Ever. And her vocals? Heavenly. I don't tolerate any slander on this precious song

I’ve always love this song and I think it’s a perfect sequel to Someday (I Will Understand). Honestly I never understood the hate this song gets. It’s a perfect way to close the album

No, this song is awful.

I love the idea behind it and the intention. But lyrically it falls flat. 

Perhaps with this new pregnancy she can give it another go. Someday was good though.

I agree. It’s a very heartwarming song that conveys a lot of emotion. The only people who seem to hate on this song are your typical lifeless gay men who prefer substance-less dance and europop… but are we shocked?  They always used the song as a punching bag when she has FAR worse. Side note: Her vibrato is so gorgeous in that song.  Definitely one of the highlights off of “Circus”.
