Why "Britney" is part of Britney’s trinity

Hmmm. I've always considered the Britney album to be one of her worst until Britney Jean. It's saving grace is Slave. It's the first album where her popularity seriously dropped. There were too many really bad songs on this album at this point in her career like Anticipating, Let Me Be, That's Where You Take Me and Bombastic Love. Other weak tracks are I Love Rock n Roll (works for live Vegas performances though) and Not a Girl. Rodney Jerkins tracks like Lonely and I Love Rock n Roll just sound hollow and overproduced. Replace some of the album tracks with Before the Goodbye, When I Found You, I Run Away and When I Say So, and maybe another Neptunes track, possibly even keep Not a Girl and you have a good album

I think most of the fan base understands that Blackout and In The Zone are in the trinity, periodt! :queenflopga: As for the 3rd member of the trinity, I think most of the fan base would say Glory! for me, this is my trinity. But, to each their own! :rihannayas:

Britney

Femme Fatale

Blackout

That would be my personal Britney trinity of best albums. Femme Fatale and Blackout were pure gold, different but amazing from start to finish.  Britney was just that perfect blend of new britney still mixed with bomt/oops britney.

I didn't say she wasn't popular. It was the first album where her popularity dropped, and I'm specifically talking about the album and singles. Commercially it's the first era where they under-performed significantly. The era overall was great in terms of live performances and sponsorships.

Oops first week sales 1,319,193 compared to Britney's 746K first week debut is a pretty big drop.

Britney Jean is crying right now :(

ugh I hate to talk about tritinity's albums as I love Britney so much for all it meant at the time and as a lifelong fan. You can't get more Primeney than this era, Crossroads included. But sadly I don't think it makes it to the trinity :crying1: unless we agree to change the concept of Trinity to 4 :gimmemoar:

See, the problem was that during the Britney era, she was facing a severe radio ban after not partnering with clear channel or something for the DWAD tour and since clear channel owned most radio stations, they blacklisted her. This affected her radio impact thus, the singles only managing to crack top 20. However, internationally, Slave 4 u was a huge hit. Plus, the sales you have used are soooo outdated:-

Oops...I Did It Again!
WW sales- 27 million

Peak position- #1

Britney

WW sales- 17 million

Peak position- #1

749k isn’t a really big drop from 1.3 million. There is just a 550k copy difference in sales. It’s a good follow up sales for a recent album with over a million sales. Not many artist can achieve that if we look at the charts. Artpop had managed to sell only 258k in its first week after BTW sold 1.108 million. That’s like a 850k difference in sales. Madonna American life shifted over 241k sales in its first week, especially after music sold 420k sales in its first week. That’s like a 50% drop in sales. Plus, anyways the world doesn’t totally revolve around the US. WW, Britney sold 1.7 million after OIDIA sold 2.5 million. Not many artist have a record that can still sell millions in its first week. Plus the album sold 5 million copies by the end of 2002 like mentioned.
Britney was a huge era itself

Not in my trinity.

Britney is a good album but it is not cohesive whatsoever. I’m a Slave 4 U and Boys seem misplaced on this album... like she could have made an entire album with that sound and it would have been amazing. The 2nd half of the album seems so childish and filtered compared to the first half.
