“Kiss and Make Up” by Dua Lipa was first offered to Britney who declined because of the lyrics

It’s really cheesy (like most of Dua’s music anyhow). I like Dua’s beats and productions but her lyrics are really juvenile. Kinda like Charlie Puth. Decent voice. Good production. Really cheesy lyrics. It sounds very 2016ish, so I can see it being submitted for Glory. Better, which is sonically and lyrically similar, was the better choice in the end (absolutely pun intended)

In NO WAY is 'Better' a better song than 'Kiss & Make up'. I always skip 'Better', she always has one song on her albums that annoys the **** out of me and Better is that song for me lol.

Hmmm I don’t see what the problem with the lyrics would’ve been, but it looks like Dua must have tweaked them because she’s listed as a writer. So I guess some of the original lyrics must have been the issue. If Britney had liked it enough she probably would’ve taken it and done the same thing like she did with Mannequin. 
 

I wonder if this was a Glory reject or for the project she started after Glory.

I've never heard this song until right now. I kinda like it! It's not amazing but it's a lot better than Hey Ma and I Feel So Free With You.

Oooo, I love that song. Although, I don’t see what the problem with the lyrics would have been. There’s nothing very controversial about it. It does sound like Better’s sister, which is a great thing IMO cause Better is possibly my favorite Glory song.

Im not mad at all tbh . But her team really have lost credibility and a good ear for sounds. 

Yes they're actually not wrong , that song had the worst and most basic lyrics.... but the beat is good . It's no umbrella sized rejection but i can see it replacing private show . I mean since when "twerk it twerk it boi wash me twuurk it " is deeper than " bang my head against the wall" ? 

Yeah , basically her team like any other 2000's popstar's team are losing the musical "hit" ear. But then again it would've been a wasted opportunity like most of glory.
