It’s not a half assed project. Had an audio book not existed at all and just the book itself you'd cry wolf. It’s no different. If she read the book and didn’t exude a particular emotion reading a specific chapter you'd question and complain. Face it: she’ll never get it just right for you. So instead of complaining over issues that don’t exist spend your very valuable time elsewhere? Why keep being disappointed and *****ing about it? You’re getting NO sympathy here.

This amazing! Michelle is an 5 time oscar nominated actress! She is legit and so good in all her roles! Can't wait to hear her voice! Shame Britney is just doing the introduction but having Michelle is a worthy alternative.

Michelle Williams is one of the best actresses working today. Hard to believe anyone would be disappointed especially as Brit is narrating a portion, which is more than I expected certainly.

Yes, but I think it’s disappointing. It can be cathartic to speak words into existence. I believe it would have shown so much strength if she had been willing to sit down and read it. I am glad that they selected Michelle Williams. I think she would be able to capture Britney’s voice and convey her emotions effectively. 
 

It is upsetting though because I really felt like she could have shared the story in her own words.

I don't think some people understand what a success is to get Michelle to narrate the book. She's a class A film star. Not a celebrity, not an artist turned talk show host and social media vampire.

 

This is an excellent move and have no doubt that the publisher paid good money for this. The idea is probably to give the whole project a bit of more serious vibe. And for a good reason - since the end of conservatorship signing this deal, Britney's public image went down really bad. 

Also,  do you think that recording an audio book consists of going to the studio and just recording a person reading the pages?

Our girl is restless and all over the place. And that's more than fine. But I guarantee you it'd be 100 times easier for her if you gave her a song in the studio and let her do her thing than having her record an audiobook. It is incredibly tedious and long, especially for someone who's not a trained voice actor/narrator.

Exactly. People here will find anything to complain. Miserable hoes 

 

And I mean, not shade to Brit, but Michelle is a much more trained actress meaning she will be great in conveying all the emotions without being overburden by them

Glory and Blackout were not half-assed. She actually poured her heart and soul into the blackout album in order to escape from the pain and agony that she had been experiencing at the time. In addition, Britney took vocal lessons in order to improve her performance when recording Glory. It was her passion for that project that drew negative attention from her conservatorship camp.

All you guys do is ***** and complain. Britney is a trauma victim who is still healing, grieving, and processing everything in real time, and probably for the next 2-3 years. We have no idea what she’s been through. We’re lucky to have even gotten this book so quickly after the conservatorship ended only 2 years ago. If she does not feel comfortable reading it then so what? She’s already written and chosen to share it with us and to me, it clearly has a lot of her trauma written in it. Obviously, it would have been great to hear Britney’s story in her own voice, but at the end of the day she felt it was not beneficial for her own mental health to relive what she’s already written, which is extremely commendable and as REAL fans, we should respect that. Bottom line, grow the **** up and read the book, or don’t

Michelle Williams is an outstanding actress. The sheer fact that she's involved in this and SUPPORTS Britney is massive. Her narration will bring a lot of gravitas to Britney's book. She'll be able to convey Britney's emotions well and Britney won't have to relive the traumas she went through, reopen the old wounds.
