Jamie Spears' lawyer wants Britney to pay his legal fees - $1,200 an hour

Jamie Spears is requesting Britney's estate pay his legal fees. Jamie is represented by a man named Alex Weingarten, who's billing at $1200 per hour. 

In a new filing, Weingarten lists out a bunch of tired rhetoric claiming Jamie essentially saved Britney's life (by trapping her in an abusive conservatorship against her will and without her consent??? But go off). 

It's worth reminding you Jamie received a reported $6 million of Britney's money during his time as conservator. 

"Jamie seeks the Court’s confirmation, authorization, and direction for the Estate of Britney Jean Spears (“Estate”) to make payments on account to Jamie’s attorneys participating in proceedings concerning Jamie’s ongoing fiduciary duties relating to the winding up of the Conservatorship of the Person and Estate (“Conservatorship”) of Britney," the docs state. "Prompt payment on account of Jamie’s attorneys’ fees is necessary to ensure the Conservatorship can be wound up quickly and efficiently to allow Britney to take control of her life as she and Jamie desire."

Elsewhere: "Jamie's attorneys' fees should be paid on account on the same terms as the other parties in this manner consisted with the law of qualities that all parties tasked with administering an estate be treated on equal terms."

Weingarten adds: "Public policy also requires that Jamie's attorneys' fees be paid by the Estate regardless of the baseless allegations asserted against him." 

You may recall Lynne Spears also recently equested Britney's estate cover her legal fees as well. 

Though Britney is legally free, she still is forced to deal with the repercussions and trauma from a near 14-year event that was forced upon her by her family.

If Jamie was entitled to having his legal fees paid by britney, wouldn't he still be able to use thoreen? Isn't the whole reason he got new counsel because he was no longer eligible to have his fees paid??

I don’t know much about US Law but I’m optimistic that there’s no grounds for the court to grant this request but then again there was no grounds for the c-ship in the first place. This is so messed up
