Jamie Spears spotted at a lumber yard at the time the court freed Britney from the conservatorship

In exclusive photos obtained by DailyMail.com, Jamie, 69, was spotted in cargo pants, a baseball cap and a long-sleeved t-shirt at the yard in Kentwood - where he was born, where Britney was born, and where he and his ex-wife Lynne still live.

He arrived at the lumber yard in the afternoon, following the Los Angeles hearing, which began at 1:30pm and was over in 30 minutes, with the conservatorship official ended.

The father of three drove himself to the yard from the RV where he is living, having sold the family home - where Britney and her siblings grew up - in February for $275,000.

Jamie Spears, 69, was seen on Friday visiting a lumber yard in Kentwood, Louisiana, on the day his daughter's conservatorship officially ended

The three-bedroom property at 14550 Greenlaw Church Road sold for $275,000 - despite its celebrity connection.

The house has green striped wallpaper, '70s-style wood paneling, ceiling fans, granite countertops, a wood-burning fireplace and a two-car garage, according to the listing. There was also a large outbuilding, where Jamie ran a gym.

Jamie was paid $16,000 a month for the 13 years he was managing his daughter's finances, and $2,000 a month for rent.

Yet he now lives in a motor home in a storage facility parking lot - the storage facility housing memorabilia from his daughter's career.

Lynne Spears, 66, who divorced Jamie in 2002, lives in a French-style mansion on the outskirts of town that was built by Britney in 2000 at a cost of $2 million. The singer pays $150,000 a year for the upkeep of her mother's home, according to court filings. On Friday Jamie was seen chatting to some friends at the yard, and joined one of them to inspect some of the ongoing work there.

'He is just the same old Jamie,' his former football coach, Elton Shaw, told The New York Times in June.

Jamie grew up in the town of 2,000, one of 10 children, where his father, a boilermaker, was strict and demanding.

Jamie was the star quarterback of the local football team, and is still highly regarded in town.

He is said to spend his time now with old friends at the VFW bar in town, where locals are protective - reporters trying to get in have been chased off the property.
Friday's decision by Judge Brenda Penny does not mean the end of Jamie's problems, however.

Britney's lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, has said that he intends to depose Jamie about allegations that he installed eavesdropping devices in his daughter's bedroom, to monitor her every move.

A former security guard also claimed that Jamie and his team monitored her phone calls and text messages, in a bid to control her.

Jamie, through his lawyers, has always insisted he acted with her best interests.

The businessman could be seen chatting to some friends on the site of the lumber yard

Jamie Spears is well-liked in the town of 2,000 people, and the locals are protective of him
