Aren't most of the current homeless people in America actually not veterans, but LGBT youth? I think I read that like three years ago.

Yeah, the largest group is homeless LGBT youth, but the other groups are veterans (as you said) and the mentally ill. There's obviously outliers, like teenage runaways and the like, but the vast majority of the homeless are LGBT youth and it's really sad.
