Britney's book announcement wasn't the top news story I was expecting it to be today & I think it's because the GP is seeing her brand heavily damaged by her Instagram

Hi all, just want to start off by saying I am so excited about the book and I love the title! However, I really hope she reinvents herself on socials. 

 GP seems to have turned on her or lost interest compared to late 2021/early 2022 and it saddens me...

Do you think Britney should reinvent her social media feeds to stop the negativity?

And let me clarify I understand that her IG is just a facet of Britney's personality and not the only version of Britney from the court testimony and voice notes she has done. But when you juxtapose the 2 versions, it's hard for most of the public to believe that it's the same person. So I think the public only sees 1 side of Britney on socials and it's really hurting her public image.

I cant say I disagree… I’ve always respected that Britney does whatever she wants though.  
 

 And this book will be massive. We’ve just gotten the announcements and it’s presale numbers are incredible 👏🏽

It’s #1 on Amazon and outsold Jamie Lynn from pre sales alone…in a matter of hours. Give it a rest about her insta already. She’s already a legend who cares anyway. Besides when it’s closer to the release date it will have way more hype.

Let’s be honest. We ALL know that the deal included a clause that she did not have to public promote the book (interviews) thus none of the networks are going to try a suck up and promote it. 
 

I’m still FUMING at the 20cent announcement video that  has some creepy man breathing heavily.

It has less to do with her instagram and more to do with the fact there probably would have been a bigger reaction (and more news outlets picking it up)  had she announced it with an appearance on, say, Good Morning America. But again. She owes no one anything. And if this is how she wanted to announce it, so be it. It’s already going to do big numbers. I remember in 2007 when all she did to promote Blackout was talk for like a minute and  a half on a radio show and look at the legendary impact that album has had. She simply doesn’t feel the need to meet anyone’s expectations. And she doesn’t have to. 🤷

I think that was the point of her Instagram announcement. If you enjoy it, great. If you don’t, great. If you don’t hear about it, cool. Hopefully the process was therapeutic for her and if it benefitted her mental health- that’s her priority. And as fans, I think we should just be happy with that. I’m really excited to hear her story in her words.

Why are her likes so low all of a sudden? For an announcement like this and a celebrity SO big, I was expecting WAY more engagement.

Ever since Elon took charge, it seems like Twitter's algorithm went kaput for everyone, posts just don't rack up as many likes as they used to. Speaking of Instagram, here's what I've noticed: when you start deleting posts and stuff, it ends up slashing the reach of your future posts

I wish Britney has a team to deal/promote with her business matters though.... Because nobody takes her seriously anymore, due to her ig posts..... let the professional team to sort out a plan to promote the new book, or possible new songs in the future, not just simply Britney doing a home video talking....

Sadly I do think it is true that her IG has had an impact on how the GP sees her.

I think the issue with how she portrays herself on her account is that there is no mystery.

From what I've observed, it seems like its essential for a public figure to have some aura of mystery in order to have appeal cause honestly there is such thing as TMI

and I feel like Britney can maybe share a bit too much or be too casual with her posts.

 

Also lots of people expect celebs to be fully made up on their social media accounts and Britney is not that.

Even during her prime on her days off, she'd go out without makeup on and not be glamorous.

 

But honestly I think the final nail on the coffin for her image to the GP were the constant angry posts about Selena and the Jack In The Box worker.

I think that REALLY made her come off as erratic and unstable (NOT saying she is)

I think that did more damage to her image even more than her n.udes.

I'm pretty sure she deleted her book announcement post (the one with the book cover and date one) and reuploaded it (exact same post) I liked the one she originally uploaded but then later on i noticed i didn't "like" the book annoucement post which Im sure i did so i knew she must deleted the one i "like" and re-upload a new one.... I didn't care to "like" the same post again so.... 

It's tiring..... Why is it so hard for her to think before she posted or just don't delete it and then re-upload the exact same one..... what's her deal anyway?  I don't find any other ones on ig that deletes and re-upload so aften like she does....

Bcz announcement itself is a disaster as well as the cover itself. It almost feels like a joke to her. Which is weird considering she does have a hell of a story to share.

Plus her public image is the worst it has been since 2007
