Wait, I don’t think Brit did turn the original down. I’m pretty sure there’s an interview from the early FF era (pre-remix) where Brit said she loved the song and wishes it had been offered to her - maybe Team Con or the label never played her the demo?

If you think about it it’s the most Femme Fatale song out of the bunch. The title of the album gives me dominatrix vibes yet none of the tracks (while amazing) were on theme.

The first 30 seconds of the remix is literally one of my all-time favorite song intros ever. It is iconic  especially when Britney comes through with the na na na come on’s  makes me want to drop it low in the middle of traffic

Femme Fatale already have strong power house songs! The only problem was lack of promotion of the album..even S&M was added to FF there was no guarantee it would have been a single..

 

It might ended having same fate as Trouble for me, Inside out, drop dead beautiful, How I roll, HIATLM, Up and down!

Lol she is literally an icon. Yes she dominated in the Era of digital sales and streaming, but shes one of the most successful artists of this time. She literally had a new album out almost every year from 2005 to 2016, with at least one number one single from each album. Her album sales are not the greatest but her singles smash heavy, they are usually on all year end charts. 

Big difference between Rihanna and Katy is that Rihanna has been away for 6 years now and people are constantly begging for her comeback, with Katy No1 even knows when she does comeback because she has to leave as quick as she came, she's flopping hard rn.

Rihanna only to mainly sold singles aka records her albums sales are just fine. Without features her career would've not seen what it is today.

I used to love Rihanna’s solo version back then, but now I cringe with it. As for the remix with Britney, it was horrendous. They did her so bad.

Since Britney ended up in the Remix, it doesn't matter. But maybe team c thought it was too explicit even with the title.

I'm only mad we never had an actual MV with Britney
