I don't think it was meant to be a cry for help, but I totally see what you mean. After her testimony, a lotttt of lyrics hit differently, including some of the lyrics you pointed out. I actually mentioned this song in a thread a while back about which lyrics seem to take on a different meaning since her testimony. So even if it is a reach, it's definitely kind of eerie to hear her sing those lyrics now that we know what she's been through.
