I came across this article while googling  Britney as I occasionally do.  The article talks about both celebrities and their breakdowns, or “breakthroughs” as Kanye West would refer to them, and the difference between the aftermath.  It’s probably something that has been mentioned many times in Exhale; the constant double standard when it comes to Britney.  The article also mentions the #FreeBritney movement.

-When Spears had her very public “breakdown” in 2007, and infamously shaved her head, the press was hardly sympathetic, and the aftermath sparked the Free Britney movement.

-Meanwhile, Kanye West – who has spoken publicly about his hospitalisation in 2016 (which he calls a "breakthrough, not a breakdown") and subsequent diagnosis of bipolar disorder.

Oh, and the article mentions that Britney should be Kanye’s running mate for the presidency.  I think we could all agree that it should be the other way around.

One word. Sexism. I think Kanye has displayed more erratic behavior than Britney ever has, and he’s not in a conservatorship. It’s disgusting and I’m still blown away that other celebs aren’t speaking

Another day another discrimination from straight white men all over the world :mhm: On a serious note though, it is disgusting how the world forgave Kayne and even encourages him to run for president while Britney was humiliated publicly by everyone (remember that neandrethal ***** who said she would shoot Britney? wtf???!) only because she is a WOMAN. This goes for all the people that believe feminism isn't needed in the 21st century, because double standards are there and they are THRIVING.

It’s seriously like she has the most powerful team ever since they seem to intimidate any and everyone...
