No is not ok. And the comparison I made is not even right as white people was never treated like black ppl were. Here a link that speaks about ******. It refers to doing it for halloween, but you can read the bit of history behind it.

Black face is wrong and I already know that. I was asking in the context of, if Beyoncé - a black woman - were to do black face. :mhm: But @conceptuel already answered my question perfectly. But thank you for taking the time. 💛🧡💜

I think in situations like this the philosophy i use is:

If you have to ask is it wrong, then its probably wrong

Cause somewhere in your brain little red flags are firing warning shots!

It doesn't apply. Cause i'm not politically savvy. These are things I didn't care for / not interested about. I'm not aware about things that the average joe or Twitter people find outrageous, or which celebrity they are cancelling. I only knew about these things since I joined Exhale, 5 months ago. Still learning about these things on this forum. :mhm:

I'm not going to attempt to defend this cause I personally don't agree with it but I will offer larger context.

1. She did this with the intention of lifting up and celebrating black voices so it could be INTERPRETED as her attempting to reclaim something used to disparage black people (like the n word).

2. This happened almost ten years ago and was already adressed.

Am I The Only Who Thinks Beyoncé Days Of Being On Top Are Over?  These Past Few Weeks Have Marked Some Major Controversies For Her.  First, There Was The Leaked Info That “Lemonade” Numbers Were Severely Inflated, Then This Now.  Not To Mention, “Black Parade” Flopped So Hard.  Even “Mood Ring” Stayed At Number 1 On ITunes Longer.
