  6. Article from Deadline: Angry backlash from disappointed fans and skepticism over the reasons behind Adele’s cancellation of her planned Las Vegas residency have cast a shadow over the singer’s career. It’s left some wondering if her acknowledged massive stage fright has made it impossible for her to continue performances. While fans have been largely forgiving in posts reacting to Adele’s online announcement of her postponement of a Las Vegas residency scheduled to run on weekends through April, others have not been so dismissive. Most questions center around the timing of the announcement, coming a day before the scheduled start of her residency. That left many fans who had flown in and booked hotel rooms with no alternatives, and many said they couldn’t afford to return for whenever the shows would be rescheduled. But some music industry professionals noted in reports that axiom of show business that “the show must go on,” pointing out that Adele’s show was abot her singing and not flying with a harness or other spectacular production. On Friday evening, fans lined up at the Colesseum at Caesar’s Palce at the just-opened “Weekends with Adele” merchandise store adjacent to the venue. Some sang her songs, while a lucky few were tapped to do a Facetime conversation with the singer. Fans who had a concert ticket with them at the merchandise store received a gift tote bag with an Adele T-shirt, magnets and specialty keychain. The boutique will reportedly continue to offer the apology gifts to ticketholders for a while. While the gifts and facetiming were a nice touch, some industryites pointed to past cancellations as a harbinger that the shows would never be held. Adele has pulled out of planned US tours in 2008 and 2011, citing family issues and vocal problems. She also canceled two London shows in 2017, promising to reschedule. She never did. 7. Kylie Minogue is the ultimate show girl ! Why doesn’t she have a residency yet ? That’s the real question . Having a large catalogue of hits , always singing live , and being known for giving amazing shows, Kylie would do amazing having a Vegas residency !! It would really give her chance to shine in America and reach that audience. Kylie has many hits and while it may be argued that American fans might not know all of them , can’t get you outta my head is a hit every American knows . Also her latest album disco has done well in America and I hear Magic and Say Something played at the mall I work at all of the time. Kylie always sings live ! Every single performance . And she delivers . She has such an amazing technique and she knows how to use what she has . She can sing for long periods of time performing long concerts. I would love for her to be comfortable in a residency so she could really show case her vocals !!! Kylie always gives an amazing performance ! Her aesthetic and backgrounds are always on point ! Her Aphrodite tour is the most amazing tour in the existence of all tours ever toured . When I watch Katy I think yuck toilet icky . I wanna see Kylie as a goddess flying with Angel wings and chariot pulled by gay men in chaps and angel wings ! In conclusion , Kylie would be the amazing lady Las Vegas show girl if we let her . It may be argued that her name isn’t know in America however her performance will speak for itself and draw in new fans . It will be perfect for everybody and make everybody happy and good .

  12. I thought it would be fun to create your own fan setlist for an artist you like. I used Britney's 22 song (excluding intro & interludes) song limit. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I thought of Selena Gomez. Yes she is not the vocalist or performer of Britney, but this post isn't to compare to Brit. It's to create a setlist for any artist you have in mind, even if you don't think they can nab a Vegas residency. Intro 1) Me & My Girls 2) Slow Down 3) I Want You To Know Interlude - Falling Down 4) Round & Round/ Hit the Lights 5) Bad Liar 6) Back to You Interlude - Perfect 7) Lose You To Love Me Interlude - Wizards of Waverly Place Theme Song 8) Naturally/ A Year Without Rain Interlude - Taki Taki feat. Ozuna, Cardi B 9) Taki Taki (Selena Verse) / I Can't Get Enough 10) Baila Conmigo Interlude - Fetish 11) Good For You 12) Wolves 13) It Ain't Me 14) Kill Em With Kindness Interlude - Ice Cream feat. Blackpink 15) I Love You Like a Love Song 16) Come & Get It 17) Whiplash 18) Same Old Love 19) The Heart Wants What It Wants Interlude - Rare 20) Hands To Myself 21) It Ain't Me 22) Who Says
  13. So I started doing this since November or so, but I wasn't able to finish it until now. I wanted to have every show's outfits / looks together to see the evolution and compare each costume. It took me so long, and now @G L O R Y kinda beat me to it with the voting threads, but I wanted to share my work anyway. I know how much ya'll love Piece of Me so I'm sure you'll like it. G L O R Y's threads allow us to see each unique outfit, but here you can see how many times she wore each of them, when was the first time, the last time, we can see the different wigs, hairdo and makeup too, so it's pretty interesting. At the time when I started doing this, we didn't know about the summer tour yet, but I guess I'll include it later. I noticed it is extremely hard to find good quality pictures. When there are good pictures they're all from the same show, but there are dates that I could only find potato kind of pictures, and there are some outfits that I couldn't find pictures at all from some dates, more exactly Everytime and Circus. I'm having trouble embedding the images, because of the size, but I'll put the links where you can see the full images. Act I (Full Size) Act II (Full Size) Act III - Everytime (Full Size) Act III - Gothic (Full Size) Act IV - (Full Size) Act V - (Full Size) Act VI - Circus (Full Size) Act VI - IUSA (Full Size) Act VI - BOM (Full Size) Act VII - (Full Size)
  14. Katy Perry might be Las Vegas’ next big resident performer! It was once assumed artists go to Vegas to lay their careers to rest, but those days are long gone. Celine Dion, Elton John, Mariah Carey and Britney Spears paved the way for fellow A-list artists to make Sin City their second home. Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani, Ricky Martin, Cher, Bruno Mars, Drake, Cardi B, Marshmello, Xtina, The Backstreet Boys, and many more are the latest to light up the Vegas strip, and if the reports are true… next is Katy Perry. Perry not-so-subtly hinted that she'll be headed to Vegas sooner than later. During a live chat with fans, someone asked about the project she'll kickoff a residency in Vegas. Perry directly acknowledged the fan by name and winked. It's unclear when this will go down. Vegas' iconic strip took a hard hit amidst the pandemic. Hotels closed and laid-off/furloughed thousands of employees, including performers in the shows. All residencies are postponed until further notice, however MGM properties plan on allowing ticket sales to resume on June 1st pending no further wide-sweeping changes. Vital Vegas on Twitter, who have accurately reported Vegas-related news before an official announcement hit, claims Katy is eyeing a residency at Vegas' up-and-coming monster hotel, Resorts World, opening in 2021. Last year, the Las Vegas Review Journal claimed Katy “informally” appeared at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace to tour the venue for around an hour. Caesars Entertainment officials reportedly joined Katy on the walk-through to discuss a possible residency at The Colosseum. The prospect of Katy calling Las Vegas her second home is pretty interesting. Would you go see Katy in Vegas?
  15. Kelly Clarkson's new Las Vegas residency was scheduled to kick off on April 1st, but she's delaying it until 2021 because of the Coronavirus outbreak. The world of music, and Vegas as a whole, are really feeling the effects of this pandemic.
  16. There are new rumors that Adele is still planning to have a residency in Las Vegas. The rumors arrive at the same time as the Katy Perry residency buzz. The Sun reported that Adele will mot likely not tour for another 10 years as her son is starting school, and she wants to be around to see her son grow up. They are also reporting that Adele might consider a Las Vegas residency sometime in the future: All this to say, is Britney an undeniable trendsetter? Has her Vegas residency paved the way for artists to balance career and personal obligations? Can we unanimously say, "Britney, ha impact," if Adele does confirm a residency? Discuss.
