The 'Crossroads' soundtrack is getting a phsyical re-release in CD format

The crossroads soundtrack existed in 2002, it was a limited edition release with just Britney remixes,  so it wouldn't pull sales from the Britney album, jive knew a soundtrack of new Britney music would take away sales from her 3rd album,  but an ep of remixes and make it limited one time pressing, got nothing to lose. It's for the die hards.

It wasn’t the actual full soundtrack though just a few songs on CD, they cut alot off of Britney to add Crossroads songs in. I Run Away,  Bombastic Love, Rock n Roll, Not a Girl, & Overprotected were all intended for the soundtrack + some of Taryn’s Boomkat songs but they ended up cutting several songs Brit wrote for Shock Your Mind -the original follow up to Oops, blended her OST tracks in & Britney was the result. This is a cashgrab if they can’t even be bothered to include the Bombastic Love remix especially

The whole thing is a cash grab, cos I don't remember Mariah's movie Glitter getting a special fan event, cos this is definitely for the fans of Britney,  makes me wonder if she supports this at all..

 

RCA is definitely cashing in on her book with the reissue of the soundtrack ep.
