When everything and everyone was controlled to the umpteenth degree, this random model was somehow allowed to enter and stay in her life? The only possible explanation is that there was some benefit for Team Con and they definitely wouldn't risk everything for something tiny and casual. The only explanation is to get inside info and destroy her even further. They turned her own kids against her. Why would they allow her love? 

You think they felt sorry for her and allowed her a relationship because they wanted her to be happy? Her carrot was her children so they didn't need that.
