Who should play Mariah on her biopic series?

Mariah is looking for a lead actress to play her in the biopic series inspired by her memoir "The Meaning of Mariah Carey".

She told USA Today: “I don’t think it’s about ‘cast the girl who sings the Mariah Carey style,’ whatever that is. It’s about casting a great actress with a somewhat similar look and just making sure the acting is there. Because we have the music—they can sing along to it.”

People on Twitter have been suggesting the following names:

• Talia Jackson
• Brittany O’Grady
• Tori Kelly
• Sofia Wylie
• Madison Pettis

So, guys, who do you think should play our one and only Mariah?

PS: I really think the girl who played her on the Lifetime movie could be a body double somehow, her name is Jessica Castro and I was amazed about how she looked like Mimi on the beginning of her career. She's the girl on the picture below and her Instagram is: instagram.com/mariahlookalike

Even though she is older, I think she can play younger and pull off the Mariah look- Vanessa Morgan from Riverdale

She would’ve been a good choice but she’s almost 40 now and she’s not black. Even though I’m sure there are other actresses that will look more like Mariah who aren’t part black, I think she’ll get a lot of backlash for not casting a mixed black woman. I personally don’t think it’s a big deal if Mariah herself is casting, but with todays PC climate, I’m sure it’ll offend some groups.

The only biopic I have loved is the I, Tonya one about Tonya Harding. It's so good and well written.

if the artist is involved i think its a good way to put their input into it which i think is important rather than a cash grab
