Tips on making your streams and purchases count for 'Hold Me Closer'

If the song is repeated on loop the streams will not count, so it is best to listen to it every three songs, for example:

Hold Me Closer, Song 2, Song 3, Hold Me Closer, Song 2, Song 3 and repeat.

This way the streams count, creating a playlist will assist and make it easier.

Are we sure about this? Didn't Katy Perry advertised some of her singles as 'play it on repeat' to have more streams during first week?

Not to mention all the songs are now shorter like 2:30 to have more streams within one hour etc?

it will count toward Europe's charts.. unless you use US VPN to count toward Bilboard..

Yes, when you play a song on loop not all of the streams count.

Songs on repeat or on mute might be taken as artificially increasing play counts and that violates Spotify guidelines. The best way to stream a song and make it count towards BBHOT100 is through playlists, either official playlists or the ones created by yourself

If ya'll need to make short playlist with 2 songs + HMC, use other Britney songs, for example Coupure Électrique and Let Me Be are both under 3 minutes. This way you're not throwing away streams. Also, do not mute spotify or your computer since those songs will not count as streams if they're muted.

Views on YouTube goes towards charts too! I’m not sure if the same rules apply but I’d assume so as those streams also go towards the charts.

You can Spotify on normal volume but your actual laptop/computer low. If you put your Spotify volume low it’ll seem like you’re just making it seem like you’re ‘artificially’ making streams as another user said.

Britney gets slightly more money if you stream on Apple Music over Spotify too, just FYI.

Obviously buying the song on iTunes/Amazon helps a lot more with charting than streaming.

I did not know that about repeating a song. I totally planned on listening on repeat!!!!

Please don't confuse BB200 vs BBHOT100 - Buying albums count more than streaming for BB200, but for BBHOT100 streaming remains the most dominant factor on the Hot100 chart, followed by radio airplay and digital sales in descending order of significance.
