People keep forgetting Rihanna came at the right time when singles was starting it's take over.

 

iTunes helped big time. 

 

People preferred the single over the album.

 

It's been this way since 2005.

 

And add her album certs it still outsells Britney..

 

Sony refuses to recertify pure sales acts, cos when you recertify everything from a pure sales era..

 

The royalties are bigger, than today.

 

 

69 cents..

 

Baby one more time royalties can make max Martin between two to 3 million cos those contracts are still valid..

 

Sony don't want to fork that kind of money, so it's paying dust..

 

Rather pay 12 dollars for the recertified royalties than a couple of Million dollars..

That's the reality 

 

For Britney it would be between a couple of hundred million dollars have to be divided once everything is settled. 

 

By not recertifying it, Sony can't be taken to court over unpaid royalties, always a loophole in getting screwed by major labels..

her discography is a BOP in addition to the fact that she literally worked as a slave since she was 17 years old and still managed to open an economic empire  Rihanna is an example of empowerment and success.

They’re so right and I’ve been sayin it. People are here for Rihanna and especially Rihanna music now more than ever! She is more recognized for her musical talent, artistry, and VOICE now more than ever! They said she wasn’t a great singer, they said she didn’t make good music, but her streaming stats say otherwise! Top 10 female artist 6 years since she released an album! Anyone that counts a single sale as an album sale because they’re both “records” are morons. Britney selling 100 million ALBUMS is counted the same as that clown selling 100 million SINGLES. Rihanna fans and Stans are delusional if they think she is among the best selling artists

My big problem is will it be the great follow up to ANTI, r it going to be a let down.

 

Anti is not only her longest charting album but the longest charting album by a black woman to date.

So many records was broken, and in all honesty this was the first time critics took her seriously as an artist as they saw what they call proper artistry from a singles artist, as she made a cohesive album and up there with Daydream by Mariah Carey,the shutout of Anti by Rihanna and Lemonades by Beyonce is actually more proof on Grammys out of touch as usual with the public and trends in pop culture and life for some of the artist's..

 

people thought Rihanna would take home a few only to walk out empty handed and just become a meme cos of the whole flask in her hand

She technically is cos all databases actually updated trends, cos it's been proven not many people sell albums,and those that do have devoted fan bases like Taylor swift and Adele..

 

Singles are more popular than the album,and artist's are now more than ever refusing to make albums cos the single is easier to market and promote.

 

The album is a dying artform
