I am not a fan of Rita Ora but I don’t get the hate.

The label ditched it because it sounded too similar to "Dark Horse".

It's from the Prism era, when she promised a "darker" sound.

i remember back then katy said she wrote it and it was meant to be on her PRISM album but bc it was similar to dark horse she chose to not include it on her album.. that's why she gave it to iggy azalea for her album 'the new classic'  

personally i love both versions, and i'm still hearing it on the radio stations/clubs etc, black widow was a huge hit

I think it’s awful. I prefer the Iggy and Rita Ora version. The music of this song just doesn’t suit her voice at all imo.

Both version have its pros and cons. Should have been Iggy feat. Katy that would be way bigger bop. However, I do understand why Katy passed this on Iggy
