Halle Berry is mixed herself and probably doesn't want her clearly phenotypicaly black daughter to go through the same things she did. And in the case of her daughter it's not the one drop rule it's the 25% rule.

I know she’s mixed and just like Tinashe they both identify as black. The question now is when does someone qualify as one race or another when you have less than half ancestry of a certain race?
