I think because he was “working” as a backup dancer when he met Britney everyone seems to think that he was working for her. But that’s not true. Kevin never danced for Britney. He shockingly danced for some big names like JT, Pink, Destiny’s Child, LFO, and even MJ. They met at a club and she invited him on tour with her. Her team thought he would keep her busy and entertained so they flew him out. Thus giving birth to one of the original and greatest reality tv shows ever... Chaotic

My Theory Teresa espinoza make the conections between Britney and Kevin.

teresa says in that moment that she saw britney really sad and lonely, like a empty person. so she make the conection "just to having fun" 

the parents divorce & Justin timberlake breakup marketed her like a bad woman an is not (all those boybands are the same or ***** ****er or gay ) SO NEED TO BE A MAN AND DOIT AND SHUTUP  & he made like she was the only who makes mistakes.

Kevin worked with Justin because of Marty Kudelka who was his best friend, and everything he did as a dancer was because of connections but he was too lazy. By the way Teresa Espinoza the wannabe dancer was friends with Jenna Dewan and they were going wild partying with Justin in 2002.

Like others are saying here, my understanding is that KFed was a back up dancer but he was not one of Britney’s back up dancers. It wasn’t a JLo & Chris Judd/or a JLo & Casper Smart kind of thing.
