Your first Britney Spears concert experience.

What was your first ever Britney concert? How old were you and what was it like for you to be there?

It was August, 99. I was just 7 years old and on holiday with my family at Disney World, Orlando. Britney was doing a special concert there at the MGM Studios (what’s now Disney’s Hollywood Studios) alongside Joey from New Kids On The Block.

I was a big fan before I saw her live, already owning BOMT and Sometimes on single. Whilst at another park I heard Britney was doing a concert and I pleaded with my family to take me and luckily enough they eventually agreed and managed to get tickets.

It was just amazing. Being 7 at the time I had no idea how lucky I was to get that opportunity, but I was completely ecstatic to be there.

We have some very old, home video footage from our ancient VHS camcorder somewhere in my parents house, but Disney Channel filmed it and it was part of a Disney Channel in Concert TV Special. Also, some of the same concert is featured in her Time Out With Britney Spears DVD (which I discovered much later).

A few days later, she released The Stop Remix for Crazy and I immediately pleaded with my dad to buy me the CD. There used to be a massive Virgin store in Downtown Disney and they had posters of her everywhere. I was so lucky because not only did he buy me the single, but the album too. I was so happy.

That was and will always be the best holiday of my life and it was then I really became a stan. :bigtime:

7 year old me and my family are somewhere in this audience...

Memories. :kyliecry:

Circus tour. I was 19. They let me and my 2 friends into the VIP section, so we stood at the end of one of the catwalks resting on the love seats. We did not have VIP tickets, the security had just ****** up and we got a free upgrade worth hundreds of dollars. Slay. :tiffcackle:

I saw the show twice, the last being in my own state (the very last show of the tour). I had seating for that one. I remember Britney singing most of Everytime live for that show.

Dream Within A Dream tour, the first leg here in Atlanta in 2001. I was about 13. Best night of my life. Me, my best friend and my mom went. Smart phones weren't a thing back then, so all we had was flip phones with crappy cameras, so I took a big jacket with me, and hid my camera inside it. And recording concerts back then was totally forbidden. So I got lucky. Got to record 90% of the concert, cause I was trying to conserve battery. Even though our seats were far from the stage, Britney's presence just filled the entire arena. Seeing her live in her prime was insane. I feel so fortunate to have gotten to see her live when she was at her peak at the tour I think is her best to date. Here are some of the videos I recorded.

It was the FFT, I was 13, and it was a joke lol.

Ok, I enjoyed it at the time (of course I did, I was 13), but in hindsight, the FFT is her worst tour and I really hate that that's the only concert experience I have with her. I wouldn't go see her now though anyways so :yeahsure:

I’ve seen your videos on YouTube, I love watching them cause if I’d been old enough to go to britney shows in her prime they would’ve been the Atlanta ones. I love vicariously though your vids :makesomenoise:

POM. My mum bought me tickets to Vegas and we went there for a holiday back in September 2016 for my 17th birthday. It was one of the craziest experiences ever and we were seated beside a woman who also went for her birthday, it was her first time too and we were singing happily together. I felt so close because we got really good seats. Amazing show. :tysm:

The Circus Tour first Illinois show was my first Britney concert. I was 17 and my mom let me skip school so we could go shopping that day and chill.

The whole thing was a spectacle from the two merch booths. To the merch. To the stage. The the lights. It was so amazing to just witness everything and the atmosphere. I almost cried seeing her come down from the ceiling after 2007.

It was such a great experience. I’m so happy that was my first Britney show.

First concert or not, I think we all cried seeing her descend from the ceiling at the Circus tour. Best tour opening ever!:tear:

I'm a bit of late fan I guess :mcorangu:

Spoiler

But my first time seeing Britney was at the Femme Fatale Tour. I went to the 2nd London date at the O2 Arena (28th October 2011). It was a few weeks before my 15th birthday so my dad kinda got the tickets for me as a birthday gift. And my dad came with me, I didn't really have any friends who liked her back then.

It was my first proper concert actually. Because I had never been to any concerts before, my parents didn't really want to take me or they couldn't afford it. But this time they let me go :crying2: I remember I got good seats, in level 1, when I see Britney at the O2 in August my seats aren't as good (but I'm still happy to be going obviously). These seats were pretty cheap though.

ANYWAY I remember when we got there and I was so excited and my dad started moaning about the price of the tour book (so I didn't get it :orangu:) but I got the HIAM artwork t shirt which I still have even though it's shrunk a bit. Then we walked passed a bunch of restaurants all playing Britney music, I remember walking past the Brazilian one (Cavana?) and it was playing a FF song, can't remember which one but I think it was How I Roll. And another restaurant was playing Lucky.

Anyway I remember going to watch the support acts too. Destinee and Paris were okay actually and Joe Jonas was a lot better than I thought he would be. I remember he performed a cover of Chris Brown's Beautiful People and threw a rose into the audience.

And then Britney came on. Nothing will top the FFT intro/countdown, out of all the subsequent concerts I've been to the FFT still had the best intro. Maybe it was because it was my first concert, but the music was surreal and just gave me an adrenaline rush, especially toward the end when the 'It's Britney *****' line was played and then the lights in the arena were turned off. I remember trying to film the opening performance of HIAM but I had a **** phone back then so the footage didn't come out very well :gloria: but I was so excited at the time I just had to film it! The highlight of the show was Jedward were there! They were shown in the audience during the performance of Lace and Leather when Britney chooses the male guy from the audience and then during I Wanna Go they were brought up on stage and danced with Britney! I was so happy for them because I know they are big fans of Britney. The next day, my dad also couldn't stop singing Big Fat Bass. Considering my dad doesn't really like pop music and only listens to classic rock I think it's fair to say he enjoyed the concert ddd! I also loved the encore performance of TTWE when Britney was in the air on that butterfly thing, it was a really magical moment.

Obviously when the show ended I was sad but then when I got on the tube (which was really busy!!) there was loads of people singing Britney songs! It just ended the night off really well. Good times :crying3:

Oh I see what you mean, I don't think it's her worst tour though personally, it had a good concept and setlist (although she really should have performed Inside Out and Criminal as well).

I still have a lot of good memories too because it was my first time seeing Britney and my first proper concert (see my post above ;))

Front f**king row to the Dream Within a Dream Tour. I was 11. November 2nd, 2001 at the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh. The Britney album still wasn't out yet, so I was hearing some of those songs for the first time. My mom brought me. It was a surprise for me, on that very day. My aunt sent me an e-mail and was like 'Hey, Someone Who Knows, this is Britney - heard you're coming to my concert tonight!' and I went upstairs to my mom and was like - DID YOU GET BRITNEY TICKETS FOR US??? And she said yes and that we'd be going with my aunt and her friend (who had been obsessively stalking NSYNC's tour). I didn't know we'd be front row until I got there, though. We walked down, down, down the steps, farther and farther and I was like OMG HOW CLOSE ARE WE? And my mom just laughed until we got right next to the stage.

Don't let this shitty site take away the happiness of your experience. I had a great time at the FFT; I went three times
