You go to your profile, hit settings and privacy and scroll to the bottom to 'account deletion' and select that.

Edit: sorry! She is back but with the private account. I stopped following her because I saw it as contradictory that she wanted to be "anonymous" but didn't stop publishing so many things. I hope she is happy and comfortable and doesn't read so many bad comments.
