Now that we read TWIM, does ´´Mmm Papi´´ leave a bitter taste for anybody else too?

Obvl. (just like J.Lo´s ´´Papi´´) its most likely about a boy. But now with what we know/have confirmed I constanly have to think of a certain alcoholic redneck a h o l e... .

its a song tainted with the "Circus"era and I also don't like "Mmm papi" because it sounds like a lost song from Lou Bega's "Mambo number 5" album. It's like a distant relative of the songs "Tricky,Tricky" and "1+1=2" from that album.

During 2008, immigration was an intense state in the U.S. and Godney Spears made a bilingual song to bring everything together.

Shortly after people knew of the song, "papi" was used more than "hottie" and it brought people together and sparked interest in Spanish and opened minds.

This song was always a skip for me. Idk why, she is sassy in it, the beat is funky and fits the circus theme.  Something with it just doesn’t click with me and I don’t even know what it is that doesn’t click, it just doesn’t

Come on now. Papi is a mainstay in the Spanish community. It was used way before Britney used it. Please don't say J-Lo stole it from Britney, that's silly.

I think since this was released we all figured it was about Adnan she co wrote it. This song grew on me and love it along with Mannequin she sounds happy while having fun.

I know this, I'm Latino and have heard Papi in many Spanish songs growing up.  Lorna's Papi Chulo...Te Trago El Mmm for example came out in the 2003.   I was referencing American mainstream music.

it's one of the more creative/experimental songs of hers post blackout, it was one of my favs when circus first came out. i don't listen to it much now tho

No, it’s one of my favorite songs on Circus. I remember I was crazy about it when the album came out because it’s fun and I’ve always loved it when Britney uses “awh” in her songs, it’s so iconic to me.

Definitely doesn’t deserve all that hate from the fans.

i love it! its a freaking masterpiece for me. it brings me back my childhood feel, childhood memories...

altho i dont listen it so often these days, i find it very fun.

Uh... I hardly even listen to it. Along with My Baby... It starts cool but then in the chorus I don't really feel anything/not into it. 

But it could grow on me if somebody convinces me, lol.
