This weekend we commemorate the 10th anniversary of Britney's Desert Performance

On September 17th, 2013, Britney Spears announced her groundbreaking, game changing Las Vegas residency "Britney: Piece of Me" with a performance in the Mojave desert broadcast by GMA, following the release of her signature single Work Beep, the lead single of her most personal album Britney Jean (a fan favorite) which was released later that year.

The announcement/performance was done in front of hundreds of fans (who had to be between 5' and 6' tall) and it had a cost of $100,000 according to TMZ, who confirmed the news the day before as well as other sites, such as BreatheHeavy.

We knew there was an event where Jordan confirmed there was going to be a Britney performance. The performance never took place. Britney got sick from the helicopter and the whole event was a mess.

ahhh. I did not know that context about Jordan as I wasn't on Exhale during that time, but that's a bummer
