Tabloids copy from tmz who may be paid to be in the forefront of the lies. As long as they pretend to have a source, they can make up anything they want. 

Britney's quirky IG may "inspire" them. Example: She cuts up fruit with a big knife becomes "she has a fascination with knives." It sells so much better than "she drinks healthy juice".
