I'm surprised this album seems polarizing so far among Swifties. I love it after a couple listens. I think it'll grow on people.

I think the polarization is due to the way Taylor marketed the album. The aesthetic, the Midnights message she posted after the VMAs, and the whole vibe she set is very different than the songs and how they sound. People went in expecting 70s and 90s, while the album is a 1989/reputation/folklore/evermore mix.
