Camila Cabello's new album 'Familia' to debut in the top 15 with 25k sales

Camila Cabello's new album, Familia, is projected to debut inside the Top 15 on the Billboard 200 with ~25k in sales.

Sales does not = success, but I'm a little surprised.

Tbh... Camilla is soooo being pushed down people's throats ever since 5th Harmony and I guess people are tired of it. 

Also, musically, she didn't evolve much. I get that she's a Latina but this album is basically "Havana" all over again. She should explore more.

Her music is meh.

You mean "=quality"? Sales is a definite factor towards measuring the intrinsic value of the success of an era so I don't particularly see how this can be the case, otherwise.

I don't agree. IMO success = making a cultural impact, if the artist loves what they released, whether it sparks connectivity with fans, invoking emotion in people.

I’m surprised she sold that many lol she can sing but her music just isn’t good. That song with Ed sheeran is so bad. She has potential but I don’t see her relevant much longer, she’s already peaked and even at peak…..it was lackluster

If someone had told me a couple years ago that a Camila album would flop worse than Liberation and Smile, I wouldn't have believed it.  I wonder why she's doing so terribly all of a sudden.

Maybe because (artistically) there isn't anything interesting or groundbreaking about her?

Making cultural impact is for sure a factor as or even more important than sales but mainly influential albums that we have had in the past were very successful sans Thriller or Ray of Light. We have influential albums with not as much success as dictated by their sales like Blackout, however.
