  1. Taylor Swift, Jack Antonoff, and St. Vincent received a co-writers credit on Olivia Rodrigo's Sour song, "Deja Vu." Specifically for the bridge of the song. Fans noticed a definite likeness. Admittedly, Rodrigo long ago recognized the yelling part in "Deja Vu" was inspired by Swift's "Cruel Summer" of Lover. Then mysteriously this week, the metadata of "Deja Vu" included the trio of writers mentioned above. Swift's impact Exhale, do you hear the similarities?
  2. During an interview on Most Requested Live, Ed Sheeran said, “I love Olivia Rodrigo. I don't know if she would like this comparison, but I’ve been saying this for years, the world needs a new Avril Lavigne.” He added that both women started off young and wrote their songs with a rock sound.
  3. Courtney love has called out Olivia Rodrigo, the current angst queen of today. But that's not all she sent a cease and desist letter to Disney, Geffen records (Olivia's distributor since she owns her masters). And Olivia as well. She also shaded Disney kids, saying I hope they can read and write, and understand foul language (Should be noted Olivia's album is marked explicit and has a wal mart version). But the problem is The cover of live through this, is a model, not Courtney love and Ellen Von Unwerth reminded everybody that Courtney love was inspired by the 1976 film adaptation of Stephen king's carrie..so there's no copying here or infringement my dear. Side note @Easy There would love Chris Crocker's comments saying it's time Courtney is given her flowers by the industry how a Canadian was able to take credit of what you started cos she was sober, completely sober (alanis Morissette and jagged little pill) is unfair and pure erasure, so what if you did drugs like the boys did.
  4. I'm not Olivia Rodrigo fan BUT she definitely deserves success more than some talentless TikTok stars that try music careers. Not gonna lie I like few Olivia' songs even if I felt negative about her at first. Hate on Olivia for being successful is big. People are mad cause their idols like for example Ariana or Taylor are worse than her when it comes to some Spotify records I think this hate should stop. There are people that deserve it more Obviously the most useless, pathetic thing that social media created - TikTok ''stars'' that get million dollars FOR NOTHING. The only thing they do is dancing and the point is IT'S NOT EVEN GOOD. IT'S HORRIBLE. They aren't talented. And they are extremely problematic, partying during COVID in '20, homophobia, racism etc. And they say they are overworked And they AREN'T EVEN CUTE Instead of hating on Olivia Rodrigo, hate on TikTok ''stars'' Olive oil at least is talented and pretty. My dream is TikTok disappearing/people cancelling every dumb and useless TikTok ''star'' cause they are a danger to society

Meanwhile, The Weeknd’s Save Your Tears reaches a new peak, climbing two places to Number 2, and Galantis, David Guetta & Little Mix climb two places to a new high of Number 6 with Heartbreak Anthem. 10. Check out the stunning photoshoot and get know more about the music sensation taking over the world on Billboard. "One viral hit is no guarantee of continued stardom, however, especially in the age of TikTok, when listeners often get attached to a song without bonding with the artist behind it. Rodrigo has already departed from the playbook of past Disney stars — unlike Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, she skipped a stint at Disney-owned Hollywood Records and went straight to a major label. But the path to artistic independence is not clear-cut, especially when the sheer phenomenon of her success (spawning fan theories, think pieces and parodies in short order) could very easily drown out the art itself." Is there no choice but to stan exhale? Related:
