I agree with this. WTF are some of these comments?! I say this as someone with a cousin who is under a permanent conservatorship because he’s quadriplegic, completely mute, cognitively impaired, etc. He cannot feed, bathe, clothe, defend, or manage himself. He needs a conservatorship. Britney does NOT!

Lindsay and Britney are different people with very different situations and brains. And Lindsay also got some time away to heal. TBH, I hate playing armchair psychiatrist, but I also suspect Britney has a mental illness (no shame and certainly understandable) that makes her situation very unique. I agree that Britney acts in ways that are self-destructive sometimes. All the more reason to focus on herself. She seems to be stuck in a rut, but I don’t think working as a celebrity will help her kind of rut right now. She’s said herself she’s not really made for this industry (direct quote).

TBH, I wonder how many people realize how grueling making albums, touring, interviews, etc. truly is. This is why so many celebrities end up dealing with addictions, broken relationships and homes, sleep disorders, depression, etc. Britney herself said she’s “not made for this business.” I feel like some fans - even if SOME mean well - are as bad as her team and family were during The Onyx Hotel Tour when she really just needed a break to heal in private. If she wants to do something on her own terms one day, cool. That’d be great. But this pushing for her to focus on being “that pop girl” as a remedy to her situation or to make the GP interested is puzzling.

I’m glad the general public doesn’t care about what’s going on. She’s healing from serious trauma and her life isn’t supposed to be The Truman Show. Don’t like how she sounds on Insta? That’s literally how she wants to communicate and present herself to the public. We’re not getting anything different. She’s broken from abuse and now she’s trying to heal. Healing out of the public eye and without releasing albums or going on grueling tours is probably best. But even if she were to go back to working, she’d still be in the same state of mind, and I’m sure people would be complaining about how she presents herself then. FFS, leave this girl alone. She was traumatized by the industry. She’s never coming back as the pop girl she used to be. And that’s okay.

I, for one, and GLAD he said this. Now people know what kind of human and doctor he is, and now everyone can stay TF away from him and his “practice.” Side note: Britney doesn’t need a “comeback.” She’s working through real, serious trauma. I’m not sure the people vying for her to be in the public eye again - something that’s beyond grueling for celebs in general - know what they’re asking for.

I feel like she’s genuinely frazzled right now. I don’t agree with TMZ that she needs a conservatorship. I do, however, believe she’s completely distraught based on her recent Insta captions plus having to legally settle with her abusive father. Combine all that with her hardly having a team outside of Cade AND not having directly spoken to the media in literally years (including when she was under a conservatorship and being closely monitored). There’s also the fact that the media traumatized her for years and continues to be cruel. She’s not talking. I 100% agree with you FWIW. I just don’t think she’s going to do it. I wish she would. TBH, I don’t think Dua was inspired by Britney here. I could be wrong, but I think it’s too neutral and a trillion artists have had similar shoots - even before Britney.

I think both things are true at once: The conservatorship was fraudulent and mismanaged her finances, AND Britney likely blows through tons of cash unwisely. I do believe Jason Trawick was telling the truth when he said she just didn’t understand the value of money, how to save, or how to spend. I don’t think she was ever taught this. We know her uncle back in Kentwood managed her finances back in the day, and I think she never learned how to do certain things on her own when she became alienated. But if that’s true, she has a right to go broke without a conservatorship. And she’ll have to learn from it like every other adult. I will never believe in a conservatorship for her. (Also, no disrespect to her kids because they are kids and Kevin/Victoria were idiots for those interviews, but I agree with you 100% that kids are NOT entitled to their parents’ money.)

I don’t doubt that she blows money and makes bad financial decisions. But that’s her problem to deal with, not a reason for a lifelong conservatorship. She has the right to manage or screw up her finances and life in general.

I hear you, and I honestly detached myself from what Britney does these days so I’m not really the person you’re posing this question to, but dude is a repeat offender. Britney can do what she wants, but yeah this dude isn’t someone I’m going to go out of my way to defend. IDK if they’re dating, friends with benefits, or platonic. Maybe he’s changing his life around, but yeah I’m not motivated to defend this: Soliz has been charged with multiple misdemeanors and at least one felony. Court records obtained by Page Six showed that he was convicted of one count of disturbing the peace in 2014 and charged with child endangerment that same year, but it was dismissed due to a plea negotiation. In 2016, he was also convicted of driving without a license and a separate charge of driving with a suspended license was dismissed due to a plea negotiation. Most recently, he was convicted of felony possession of a firearm in December 2022 due to a charge stemming from a 2019 incident. He was in court on Sept. 11, 2023, for an alleged probation violation in relation to that charge.

Yeah, she absolutely has a mental disorder (no shame) and we know she’s been traumatized by the medical system and no longer trusts it. She’s never going to be the same person she was before 2004 when she married Jason Alexander and started making terrible, life-altering decisions. Two things can be true at once: There’s no shame in being mentally ill AND she also makes terrible decisions that are really hard for a lot of us to watch.
