This. I don’t necessary blame her, although she certainly plays her part. The media are really out there forcing her on the general public at any opportunity. She’s basically inescapable - which is great for fans but annoying for any one else.

I’m loving the visual.  Hoping it builds off Midnights and doesn’t stray backwards towards Folklore or Evermore in terms of sound, I love her lyrics on those albums, but I want powerful bops and not the melancholy indie vibe.

It’ll never happen, tbh.  She’s been in this state of peak success, essentially, since she started almost 20 years ago.  Each album she releases does insanely well.  She and her team were brilliant for making her, not only the girl next door image, but also going the country-pop route.  She had fans from both genres.  So when she made the full switch, her country fans stayed and she sucked in all the pop fans.  She’d have to have one hell of a scandal to destroy her success.

Tbh the artwork gave me indie folk vibes. I am curious about how it sounds.
